"Percy?" Annabeth said, as she walked slowly towards Percy. "Percy?" she said again. This time he moved, shuffling to face Annabeth. "What's wrong Annie?" he rubbed his eyes and yawned. He moved a little to the edge of the bed, giving Annabeth a space for her to lay beside him. "What's wrong, Wise girl?" She smiled a little, and slowly lay beside him. He hugged her from behind, sniffing her hair. "What's wrong?" he said. "I... had a dream. We were back in the war against Gaea, and y-you..." she sniffled. "Died?" Percy said, his head on her shoulders. "I'm never going to die, Annie. Never. I'll never leave you alone. I'll always be here. He kissed her neck gently, moving upward towards her jaws. She turned to face him. "Promise? Will you never ever leave me alone? Swear on the river Styx?" she said, their legs entwined, under the covers. "I promise, I swear on the river Styx," he said, as he pulled himself towards her. He kissed her gently, assuringly, and it made her feel safe. They didn't know how long they kissed...

She opened her eyes. Percy was still asleep, his eyes closed, peace over his face. She stared at him, at his lips, his chest rising and falling rhythmically. She loved seeing him like this, as if nothing ever happened. No war ever happened. He was never at peace, always troubled with the thoughts of the war.

She decided to get up. His eyes opened. "Annie?" he said, reaching for her hand. "Just.. stay. Stay here with me," she got back, now facing him, both staring at each other's gray eyes and his blue eyes. Too beautiful... she thought. "Just stay here, will you? Stay," he said. He inhaled and exhaled, "What's wrong with me? I'm losing my mind, Annie. I got nightmares every single night." A teardrop fell, sliding down his cheeks to the pillow. She hugged him, breathing in his hair. "Nothing is wrong. You will always be my one and only Seaweed brain and I won't make you fight through this alone, I will fight with you, through whatever you have, whatever you're fighting," she said. She kissed his forehead. "Let's just stay here for awhile," she said, patting his back softly.
