I don't own Gravity Falls. My boy Alex Hirsch does, but really what did you expect? If you're not following his twitter you're missing out, yo. Enjoy!
Stan noticed a few things he didn't remember after the twins left.
Blood-soaked forks and knives hidden under the sink, countless obsessive babblings written in barely legible handwriting stuffed between mattresses and floorboards.
But there was also a seemingly endless amount of glitter, doodles, and thumb tacks from torn boyband posters.
The difference was terrifying to say the least.
But the one thing Stan shouldn't've done was ask Ford. Because he'd find out out something scarier.
Ford didn't know either.
But he also found love letters to girl who's name was always crossed out, accompanied with a beautifully drawn picture of a girl with red hair.
The picture was open scribbled out or torn up too.
And he found guilt-ridden diary entries, full of disappointment and heartbreak, but also filled with laments of safety for a person whose name was never mentioned.
They probably assumed you'd know the name.
Stan was conflicted.
He had remembered a lot, by then. But he never understood the knives, or the diaries. Maybe he hadn't before. This whole amnesia thing didn't really follow any rules.
"Hey, Ford, uh- Sixer, I found some forks covered in dried blood under the sink. Do'ya know where they came from?"
"Stan, I- no. I don't."
"Soos, who's this?" He held the picture up to his face. It was one of the better ones.
"Wendy? I think. She used to work here, Mr. Pines." oh. her.
He remembered more now. The crush, the teasing, that party...
This whole situation showed him that there was a lot he didn't know, and more he couldn't know.
He daren't ask the twins about it. There was no point - I'd only complicate things.
Neither Ford nor Stan slept that night. They talked about home, about New Jersey. About the kids, and the townspeople. About each other. About family.
It made them both feel a little more connected; a little more understanding. It made Stan feel safer.
They both anticipated the trip across the ocean like a child building their first paper boat, but maybe they were more excited about next summer.
I haven't written for a few days and tried to do a warm up. It morphed into this. I'd say it's half decent! Very OOC, though.
Don't die on me, Gravity Falls fandom. Hope you enjoyed!
