Another strum of his guitar and another hesitation. He strums a few separate chords for inspirational cues, however his muse is at a loss. He sighs, wondering if he should call it for the day and try tomorrow.
"Something on your mind?"
The soft, yet deep voice of his brother, leaning against him back to back, makes Karamatsu look up to the cityscape and sigh again. "Only the fear of a world that knows nothing of peace and kindness."
"Tch!" Ichimatsu growls, "I didn't ask for your painful remarks. I asked if something was bothering you."
Karamatsu hums in thought before speaking, "Why do you come out to sit with me while I play? I can't imagine it's to keep me company, or hear me play, or get away from the others. You'd go find the cats if that were the case. So why?"
Ichimatsu slouches a little into Karamatsu's back. "Because if someone isn't with you at all times, you'll do something stupid like fall off the roof for the fortieth time-"
"It's only been seventeen!"
"That's the point, Shittymatsu!" Ichimatsu growls again before calming back to his normal voice. "Because it's easier to hear up here. And because I sometimes don't want to be completely alone but also don't want to talk."
"Oh," Karamatsu turns his head to see his brother out the corner of his eye, "Do you not want to answer?"
"It's fine." Karamatsu relaxes at the casual answer. "Is that what was bothering you?"
Karamatsu looks back down at his guitar and gives it a few strums, his fingers going to a melody. He smiles and nods once in satisfaction, "Yes, that was it, buraza. Thank you."
"Shut up, I'm trying to sleep."
Karamatsu smiles as he continues his melody, "Of course."
