"Dean, I don't understand."
"Shut up Cas, let me think for a mom-"
"But Dean, why not?"
"Damn it Cas! Shut it for like two seconds please?"
"Please Dean?"
"No Cas. No dogs. You know how I feel about dogs."
"But look at it Dean." Castiel says quietly, holding up the small puppy. Dean rolls his eyes and shifts away.
"Absolutely not."
Castiel sighs slightly and looks away dejectedly.
"I'll take care of it, please Dean?"
"Nope, not happening."
"Dean just consider it. It may prove a learning experience for you." Sam said with a slightly hopeful look.
"Oh not you too? Sam, come on man, no. No dogs, no cats, no nothing. I can barely keep ourselves alive, how am I supposed to watch out for an animal as well? It is a completely unnecessary waste of time, effort, and affection." Dean looked back and forth between his brother and his angel. He looked into the face of the small black puppy and groaned. Cas and Sam looked hopefully at the elder hunter with large eyes.
