Some say he was a thrill seeker, but I know better than to think that way. I know more than most people do. No, that's not it. I just see more. That's really how it is. People don't understand. They always hurry down the streets, heads down, eyes barely darting from their paths.

That's no way to live, though. I may not know much, I may be very young, but I know that much.

He taught it to me. He's more than a thrill seeker.

I know it.

He just wants people to think he is. It's so easy to make people think the way you want them to. It takes a few words at most, especially for him. I've seen it happen so many times.

It all started with a game of chicken. I had met him then. I didn't know him though. My, how things have changed. I can barely remember the time before that.

A game of chicken that went too far. Of course, I'd heard all about it. It was a horrible story, really. He always told it like Akagi was some kind of monster.

"Who does he think he is?" he would always say. "There's no way that was possible?"

Everyone would nod and agree, barely listening. It was a great story, but it got old the way he told it. I knew he was just sour to lose cheating. Some people just aren't cut out for a life of deceit, but then again, no one can beat Akagi. I've learned that.

He really was above us. He wasn't a thrill seeker. He was a genius; that's all there is to it. He was a man of extreme caliber. I've seen him, followed him, known him for so long and seen no one compare to him.

He may have descended into darkness. We all have, more or less. He was a genius, though. I'll tell everyone that until the day I die.
