Brooke Davis misses people. She can't and won't show it because that hasn't been and will not be who she is. But she does miss people; she misses her past a little bit too.
Strangely enough she misses her father. He wasn't there much throughout her life, leaving with her mom to go on vacations and business trips while Brooke stayed with a nanny. Sometimes though, he would be home for a day or two while her mother was still away and he would act like a real dad. He would sit and watch tv with her, ask her about school and cheerleading, he would even take her to the beach sometimes when it wasn't crowded. As she got older he didn't stay home as often and when he divorced her mom their communication became limited to their assistants sending birthday and Christmas cards but Brooke misses those moments with her father and sometimes even imagines he does too.
Most people wouldn't know it but Brooke misses Keith everyday. He became the father figure she lost when she got older and then he was taken away. She loves that he shaped Lucas into somewhat of a good person and that he took the time out to listen and get to know her even when she and his nephew broke up. He gave her advice about her future and told her she was beautiful and deserved a guy who would do anything for her. She visits his gravesite a couple of times a year just to talk to him about her life. She hopes that he would be proud of her.
Karen was the mother she never had as a teenager. She and Brooke bonded over Lucas when he was hurt and their relationship grew as the years past. One time when Lindsay and Lucas were still in the dating phase she admitted that she had always wished Brooke would become her daughter-in-law. In high school she helped Brooke decide what path to take and even now whenever she hears that Brooke has racked up another accomplishment she calls the twenty three year old. It's nice for her to get a compliment that isn't laced with criticism or preceding a request for money.
It's only natural for Brooke to miss Lucas. He was her first love, the first boy who broke her heart, and even the first person to tell her she could do anything. He crushed her on multiple occasions but even now years later she misses the way he could always make her stomach flutter or get her to do anything. She avoids him because of that. She can't miss the boy who is her oldest friend's soul mate.
