Sweeney Todd couldn't deny his feelings any longer for the fiery red-headed baker in the shop below him. In the past year since he's returned to London he realized Nellie Lovett didn't annoy him as much as she used to. He actually enjoyed hearing her cheerful voice and seeing that smile she only gave him. Or her brown eyes which were so deep and warm he'd find himself getting lost in them sometimes. And her lips. So full and pink he dreamed of kissing them. Yes, he couldn't resist his need for her any longer. With one last look out the window he turned around and exited his shop to find Mrs. Lovett.

Mr. Todd casually walked into the pie shop and found her at the counter making a pie. Noticing his presence she looked up and gave him that special smile. "Good evening, Mistah T." Nellie said, setting down her rolling pin and wiping her hands on her dress. As usual he didn't say anything though he very badly wanted to confess his feelings for her. "Do ya need anythin' love?" She asked, standing oh so close to him.

Unable to resist her any longer, Sweeney grabbed her and kissed her hungrily. Nellie melted in his arms and beamed at him when he pulled away. "M-Mistah T?" She stammered, reeling from the kiss. "I think I love you, Nellie." He said, a small smile tugging at the corners of his mouth. "You what?"

"You heard me. I love you, Nellie." Sweeney never thought he could ever love another woman the same way he had loved Lucy but he knew that he loved her.

He loved her spirit and she was so much more adventurous and brave than his Lucy had been. Lucy had taken poison when he was taken from her but he had a feeling that if he had been taken from Nellie she would continue to stick around and wait another fifteen years like she'd already done. He would never leave her and she would never leave him.

"I love you too, Mr. Todd. I always have and always will." Nellie said, hugging him. "Where have you been all my life?" He said, stroking her soft curls. "Here. Waiting for you to wake up and realize life wasn't all a part of the past." He kissed her again this time more tenderly and Sweeney could imagine spending the rest of his life with her. "What do you say to moving to the sea?" He said, looking into her chocolate brown eyes. "I would love to live by the sea, Sweeney. You, me, and Toby in a nice little house by the sea. Oh, when can we go?" She looked up at him excitedly. "As soon as you pack your bags, love." With a delighted squeal Mrs. Lovett sprang from his embrace and ran to her bedroom to gather her belongings. "Toby!" He heard her yell. "Get yer stuff! We're leaving London tonight!"

A few moments later Mrs. Lovett came walking into the shop with a bag in her hand and Toby right behind her. "That's all you're taking?" Sweeney questioned, noticing how little she had with her. "I don't need much but a couple books and clothes. Everything else around here is a symbol of our past; I want to start over with you like nothing bad had ever happened." She smiled at him and headed for the door. "Oh, Mistah T, you're not taking anything?"

"No." He said, wrapping his arm around her shoulder. "Everything I need is standing right in front of me." He kissed her forehead. "What about your picture of Lucy and Johanna?"

"It's just a part of my past. Come now, pet, our carriage is waiting."

With one final glance at her shop and all she was about to leave behind, Mrs. Lovett smiled confidently up at Sweeney. He loved her and that's all that mattered. They were to leave London and begin a new life together free of sorrow and pain somewhere in a nice little cottage by the sea. "By the sea, Mr. Todd, that's the life I covet. By the sea Mr. Todd, oh I know you'll love it." She sang quietly to herself as the carriage drove them away from their old life.
