Title: Letters

Author: Goddess Athena

Ship: Rose/Scorpius

Summary: Rose and Scorpius exchange letters over the winter break as they decide to tell their parents about their relationship.

Disclaimer: I do not own HP… however much I want to!

It was December 5th, the day that Hogwarts let out for a much needed winter holiday, when a young couple whispered in the corner of a crowded train compartment on The Hogwarts Express. Unnoticed and unheard over the din of their cousins' and friends' chatter, Rose and Scorpius planned. This holiday, they had decided, was finally when they were going to tell their parents about their relationship.

As the train pulled into the station, they promised to write to each other, detailing the events of their parents' reaction, and left the train separately, doing nothing to convey to the outsider that they were together.

These are the letters they exchanged.

Scorp –

I've decided that I am going to tell them when my entire family is here, and not tell my parents alone. I tried to convince myself that this was because I wanted them all to hear at once so I would not have to repeat myself, but honestly, I know I chose that so I would not have to face my father alone. I know that my Uncle Harry will help Dad calm down, and for that I am greatful.

Knowing me, I will probably lose my temper. I will try to keep calm, I promise, but I know that my temper will probably get the best of me. I am predicting my dad to object. He still isn't over that stupid grudge. Why can't he see past the old ways? The war is over. You are nothing like your father! The past is the past, and my dad needs to realize that. Everyone else has moved on, even Uncle Harry.

How are you doing at your house? When are you going to drop the bombshell? Al says your mom will freak out more than your dad. Is that true? I am so glad that Al knows, keeping this from him would be too hard.

I know I have told you this before, Scorp, but I want you to know that no matter what they say, I won't care. They cannot keep me from you. I love you.

All my love,

Rose
