He always had a fascination for the Professor.

Ever since he had picked up a chocolate card (he loved to collect them) and seen Dumbledore on the back, he had asked Daddy 'who is this?" He had fueled a new wonder in Albus Dumbledore.

It was not because of his great deeds, or beating Grindelwald, or even for being the headmaster at Hogwarts.

It was because he twinkled. Wow, that sounded cheesy. What he meant was Dumbledore made everyone feel sure of themselves. Great Merlin, that wasn't better at all, was it?

Remus had not even met him, but he felt strengthened whenever he saw those X-Ray Blue Eyes stare at him from those horn rimmed glasses.

He had turned eleven today. And the last thing he had expected was to see when he opened that door were those blue eyes.

He steps in, gives Remus a smile and shakes Remus's father's hand. Lyall Lupin is staring at him, and then at Remus, and then at him and it know what he is thinking, why is he here why is he here why his he here. Remus follows frantically as he turns the corner with dad, and mum, sitting in the couch, jumped up and shook Dumbledore's hand.

Slowly Remus slid into his seat, not daring to look at Dumbledore and instead staring down at his previous game of gobstones. Slowly reached out and took a crumpet, but it now felt dry and tasteless.

And the last thing Remus expected was to be sitting there, playing gobstones and laughing as Dumbledore's eyebrows get singed out, and eating crumpets, and shaking his hand as he leaves the door, and this time Remus picks up the chocolate card and smiles, a real smile, as Dumbledore smiles and nods back.

He was going to Hogwarts.
