I thought he'd be blonde

A/N on Legolas's haiku------I know he had blonde hair in the movie. But in LOTR fandom, there's a debate as to whether PJ got it right or not. Some ppl claim he's brunette. In all honesty, I can see both sides, and couldn't care less. Thus, the haiku can be read two ways, depending on where you, the reader, fall in the Great Legolas Hair Debate. With an exclamatory emphasis, it becomes something along the lines of "Aha! I THOUGHT he'd be blonde! I knew I was right!" With a questioning emphasis it becomes "Hmm. I thought he'd be blonde? He's blonde in the movie.." That's why the line isn't punctuated. So the readers can decide the emphasis for themselves.
