Disclaimer: I don't own Boromir. I just own this poetry and imaginary lady who wrote it.

Author's note: English is not my native tongue: there might be many mistakes. Please forgive me and, if I wrote something REALLY stupid, please correct me.

One sunny summer morning

at the gates I did stand

watching you ride West

I knew that night I wouldn't rest.

Will you remember me

when the sun shines on the Tower?

Will you remember me

in your darkest hour?

So many miles to walk,

so many days to wait,

standing here by the gates

asking the wind for your news

praying you'll come back soon.

I remember the day you left

looking back our eyes met

and you promised me: one day, I'll be back.

And when that day will come

the silver trumpets' blow

will find me still there.

Goodbye, my love, ride safe

I will wait for you at the gates.
