"Daddy did you remember to bring the flowers?"
I looked down at my beautiful 5 year old daughter who had the bluest eyes and curly brown hair. I bent down to eye level with her and held up the flowers.
"Of course I brought them Adaline, I wouldn't miss out on giving your mother her favorite gift"
My daughter looked up at me with the same eyes as her mother and smiled happily.
"I love giving momma flowers."
I looked at the little girl that any father would be proud to have.
"I love giving your mother flowers too."
Adaline turned back towards the open yard we were in, I stood up and grabbed her hand tightly and started walking forward.
As we were walking I got lost in my thoughts about your mother. She was the most beautfiul woman I ever set my eyes upon. Her hair was brown and wavy, she had the bluest eyes I had ever seen. I knew at that moment that I had to go and talk to her. I guess there really is such a thing as love at first sight.
I went and sat at the table she was sitting at, she looked over at me and smiled.
"I don't think I know you." Her voice was just as beautiful as she is.
"No you don't, but I could see that you were sitting all alone and no one should be alone on Christmas Eve."
She just shook her head and laughed a little.
"That had to have been the cheesiest thing I have ever heard, but it was also sweet"
I smiled and put out my hand.
"Hi my name is Ben."
She grasped my hand and started shaking it. Our hands fit so perfectly together.
"My name is Amber."
We talked for hours after that about the silliest, and most random of things.
