Hyde rolled his eyes at Kelso, yanking the guitar from him.

"Hey!" Kelso yelled, bowing up.

"That's not writing songs, idiot. That's... You're just making up really, really stupid lyrics to songs that already exist."

"Hey, someday that's gonna be an appreciated art form!" Kelso huffed. "And, it's not like you could do anybetter, Hyde!" he shot back, crossing his arms over his chest like a three-year-old about to have a tantrum.

Hyde looked thoughtfully at the guitar in his hands, and began strumming it gently, and, maybe it was just for spite, maybe it was to prove something to Jackie, he didn't know, but... to the shock of everyone, he began singing softly.

"Every now and then, I get a little lost. The strings all get tangled, the wires all get crossed. Every now and then, I'm right upon the edge, danglin' my toes out over the ledge. I just thank God you're here... 'Cause when I'm a bullet shot out of a gun, when I'm a firecracker comin' undone, when I'm a fugitive ready to run, all wild-eyed and crazy... No matter where my reckless soul takes me, Baby you save me... It's hard lovin' a man, that's got a gypsy soul. I don't know how you do it, I'm not sure how you know. The perfect thing to say, to save me from myself. You're the angel that believes in me, like nobody else. And I thank God you do... 'Cause when I'm a bullet shot out of a gun, when I'm a firecracker comin' undone, when I'm a fugitive ready to run, all wild-eyed and crazy... No matter where my reckless soul takes me, Baby you save me... "

He strummed it a bit more, and then stopped self-consciously, as if he just now realized people were looking, and tossed the guitar into the fire, walking off without looking anyone in the eye. Jackie stood, her eyes welling up with tears, and looked at Donna.

"Oh, Donna... that's the sexiest... sweetest... Can you believe it?"

"From Hyde? No, no I can't... you must be really good in bed." Donna blurted, and then a hand flew to her mouth, her cheeks turning as red as her hair.

Jackie shrugged. "Well, duh, I'm awesome in bed." she said nonchalantly.

Kelso shrugged. "I've had better..."

"Yeah, well, I do more stuff now that I'm with Steven." she said. "He taught me to enjoy stuff that when I was with you I considered gross." she smirked, rushing off to the woods to find him.

"Well... damnit!" Kelso burst out, tossing his hands into the air.

"Kelso... let it go, dude." Eric said. "Hyde loves her. he's never loved anyone before, he probably won't love anyone else again. If you're the one to screw it up, it'll break up the group, it'll ruin us. Leave it." Eric said seriously.

Kelso looked like he might argue, but then Fez and Donna were standing behind Eric, nodding at him, and he dropped his head. "Fine..." he said finally, in a quiet whine...

Meanwhile, Jackie found Hyde, sitting by the edge of the lake.

"Steven?"

"Not now, Jackie."

"I'm sorry." she said quietly. "I was angry, at both of you, so I thought I'd pay you back. It was immature and selfish. But... Steven, I do love you. You, Steven, and only you... So much..."

Hyde reached out his hand, and she walked to him, and he pulled her to him close, kissing her fully on the mouth. "So... now what?" he asked, and she was reminded of the first 'date' they had ever went on, even if it fizzled.

"I'm not opposed to doing it." she teased, and Hyde grinned, pulling her in for another kiss...
