One day at the city, Clifford was taking a walk around the courtyard.
Clifford said, "Ahh, this is a wonderful day for a walk."
As Clifford was walking, he heard some rumbling sound.
Clifford said, "Huh? What was that?"
Soon, the ground was shaking harder. Then there were a big crack and Clifford was falling in. He quickly hold on to the edge of the crack.
Clifford said, "Ahhh! Help me."
There were no one there to hear him. Clifford was trembling with fear as he was dangling for his life.
Clifford said, "Daffodil, Emily Elizabeth, guys."
Soon, a bird saw a puppy hanging on the cliff and he swoop in and save him. He safely place him down.
Norville said, "Are you okay?"
Clifford panted and said, "Yeah. Thank for saving me."
Norville said, "You're welcome. I'm Norville by the way."
Clifford said, "Nice to meet you Norville. I'm Clifford."
Norville said, "Clifford, that's a nice name."
Clifford said, "Thanks."
Norville said, "Wow, you sure are small for a puppy."
Clifford said, "Yeah, I'm usually the runt of the liter."
Norville said, "Cool. So where do you lives?"
Clifford said, "I live in the upstairs apartment with my owner Emily Elizabeth."
Norville said, "Wow. Wait, isn't Emily Elizabeth the one with the blonde hair and the pink shirt."
Clifford giggled and said, "Yep, that's her."
Norville said, "Wow, she sound nice."
Clifford said, "So where do you lives?"
Norville said, "Oh I just moved in right now. I lives by that tree over there."
Clifford said, "Wow, that's great. I'm sure we're gonna be best friend here. We'll have lot of fun together."
Norville said, "Yep, I can also tells stories as well."
Clifford said, "Cool, my sister Daffodil shares stories with me sometime."
Norville said, "That's great Clifford."
Soon Emily Elizabeth came out and called, "Clifford, it time to come in."
Clifford said, "Oh, I gotta go Norville."
Norville said, "That okay pup. Say, you don't happen to have a balcony bars by the window right."
Clifford said, "Yeah, I have one in Emily Elizabeth's room."
Norville said, "Sweet. I'll come over and swing by sometime."
Clifford said, "Great, bye Norville."
Norville said, "Bye Clifford."
So Clifford and Norville left as they start their friendship together.
