Rosette's POV
I tap my pen on the blank piece of paper in front of me, trying to think of something never before done for this year's quarter quell. It has to be something brilliant, something different, something that would make the rebels know what they're dealing with.
The door swings open and President Golding walks in. His hair is gelled to the right side, three piece form fitted black suit on, and leather shoes to match. He looks me, not in the eyes, but in the bust, reminding me why I am really the Head Gamemaker.
He then looks up from my breasts and faces the rest of the Gamemakers. "Light. In order to see light, what do you need? You need darkness. This year I was thinking we keep our tributes in the dark. Let them rely on their other senses, blindfold them perhaps. If they dare try to take their blindfold off, they will be instantly killed. Nobody will know where they're going or who died or who they're with, they'll all be left in the dark."
Wow for a guy that always tries to get in my pants; he is one smart man…
I stand up. "I think that's brilliant, Mr. Golding, simply brilliant!" I start to clap and soon my fellow Gamemakers start to clap as well. Even Mason, a short plump man who's been a Gamemaker for twenty years. He really wanted to be Head Gamemaker, but I was picked instead, simply based on personal favors given to the president (if you catch my drift) and appearance.
The rebels don't have a chance now… These games are going to blow their minds… And be a lot of fun too!
