A/N: So yeah, I started writing as soon as I posted "Forget Me Not" and this is the companion fic I was telling you guys about... The two stories are not inextricably linked, so you don't have to have read the one to understand the other, but it would be nice if you did anyway.
Story Details: Dean's POV about Sam leaving for college and some other, more general stuff... uh, sorta. *sighs* (I dunno, it's really complicated to explain what I was thinking.)
Disclaimer: I own plenty of stuff... innumerable books, countless shoes, endless amounts of gum (it's an addiction) e.t.c. But, strangely, despite all this wealth, I've yet to acquire Sam and/or Dean... Oh well, I'll try to survive.
At a foreign town, not mine or yours, that's where I first saw you. I might knew you from the past, but it felt like I discovered you all over again... It was raining, but, you and I... We never took umbrellas seriously.
The next day we made a promise... And everything were suddenly switched from gray to colors.
We agreed to travel around the earth during the day, and the skies during the night.
Stars and roads...
One night, you found the most distant star...
And you said we should buy it, polish it, build a house on it, move inside it, and stay there forever.
You used to send dreams in my sleep.
And I used to prepare your dreams with care.
Do you remember when you dreamed I came to you inside a giant airship?
I gave you a rock I found, to hold it tight while I was gone, because you'd get scared alone in the dark.
You gave me one which looked pretty much the same.
Do you still keep yours? I do.
One night you got lost inside a forest, but you had the rock with you,
and when I found you you weren't one bit scared.
Do you remember the magic room, that changed shapes accordingly to the posture of our bodies?
And there where times it was perfectly round... Do you remember when?
Together we read the most amazing stories, and when we got older we started to create our owns.
Once upon a time... they were two, do you remember?
They were two, but they were as one.
One time we parted, briefly.
And I wrote you these huge letters, that I never sent to you.
Years later, I told you about them and you showed me the massive ones you used to write every night to me.
It was winter, and you weren't back.
And when it ended, it felt like it had lasted three years and not three months.
Then you said you can't come back, and my winter started again, even more severe than before.
So you stayed away, and I discovered that the greatest distance is measured with minutes, not miles.
But I've also learned to never give up.
I'll never seize waiting for you.
A/N: Well, I liked it, but did you enjoyed it? Even a little bit?
I won't be offended if you didn't, I know it seems random... Anyway, thank you for your time. :)
