A/N: Sequel to 'Angel's Kiss'.

Kimiko

The rain fell from the sky, glowing in the sunset as I lay on my back with blood seeping from the wound in my chest. It was so peaceful; both death and the sunset. I remembered the last time I watched the sunset and I smiled at the memory.

"Welcome to Rio, Kimiko." Raimundo said. We stood on top of a hill overlooking the city.

"Rai, it is so beautiful here!"I exclaimed.

He laughed, "I watched the sunset everyday when I lived here. Ever since I went to the temple, my visits here became less frequent. However, the sunset at the temple is just as good as the one here in Rio, so I will manage."

Nature's first green is gold,

Her hardest hue to hold.

Her early leaf's a flower;

But only so an hour.

Then leaf subsides to leaf,

So Eden sank to grief.

So dawn goes down to day,

Nothing gold can stay.

"Huh? What does that mean?" Raimundo asked.

"It describes the cycle of life, Rai. 'Nothing gold can stay' means everything will eventually fade away." I replied.

He tried to recite the poem a few times, but could not get it right. I laughed at him, but it made him more determined to get it right. As he tried to recite the lines, we watched the sunset.

The memory sent a comforting warmth through me despite the coldness of death. Then, I finally realized that I was watching the sunset alone. My heart twisted in grief and lonliness at the thought of dying by myself. I closed my eyes.

"Who said you were alone, Kimiko?" A voice asked.

I opened my eyes and smiled, "I thought you were not coming."

Raimundo grinned, "I promised you I would come back for you." He looked at the sunset, "Can I watch the sunset with you?"

"Of course, Rai." I replied.

He sat down beside me and held my hand, "Beautiful, isn't it."

"Yeah."

'Natures first green is gold,

Her hardest hue to hold.

Her early leaf's a flower,

But only so an hour.

Then leaf subsides to leaf,

So Eden sank to grief.

So dawn goes down to day,

Nothing gold can stay.'

He finished the poem and smiled at me.

"You finally remembered it." I said.

"Yeah, it took me a long time, though." He replied.

The sun eventually sunk behind the horizon and I closed my eyes. Then, I woke up with Rai holding my hand. "You ready?" He asked.

I nodded and he led me toward a bright, heavenly light. When we walked through it, I believed Rai when he told me it would be the most beautiful place I had ever seen. I would miss Clay, Omi, Mater Fung, Dojo, Papa, Keiko, along with many others. But, right now, I was with Rai in the most beautiful place ever and that was all that mattered.
