Author's Note: Just a little Halloween fun:)

They could hear him flying down the hall,

His posture rigid, straight and tall.

One glance from him was all it took,

All would cower from just a look.

The bat was dark, and mean, and scary,

Woe to he who be named Harry.

His wings flew out like curtains black,

They spoke for themselves, saying "stand back!"

His scowl, so fowl, was so menacing and cruel,

Its legend spread throughout the school.

His hair was so greasy, smelly, and lank,

The first years who saw it immediately shrank.

He had no equal in anger and harshness,

Or all the synonyms these words possess.

His teeth were yellowed and decayed,

Even writing about them makes me afraid.

His nose was so crooked and long,

On a face, I tell you, it did not belong!

Now you ask his name, the creature in the cape?

Well he is, of course, Severus Snape.
