This was it! This was the last straw! Hiashi thought as he watched a presentation given by Nagi. That was Hinata's project, the one he had personally given her to work on that no one else was supposed to know about, the one that would have gained him much needed control in the board room. Now the elders had it instead of himself. All because of his useless pathetic offspring.
Hinata sat gaping at the front of the conference room, barely able to breathe because of the rage building up inside of her. She couldn't believe that Nagi had stolen her project, taken it right from her like stealing candy from a baby. She couldn't even scream and cry like a child, even as she desperately wanted to. She felt tears in her eyes and willed them not to fall. The look her father gave her at the end of the presentation did not help.
"Hinata, Neji my office now" Hiashi said in a calm voice that betrayed how angry he was.
Hinata visibly shook as she strolled behind her father back to his office, the only comfort was Neji brief reassuring hand on her shoulder.
The trio arrived at the spacious office of Hiashi Hyuuga and Neji quietly closed the door as Hiashi took a seat behind his desk. The other two did not dare make a move to sit in the two stiff uncomfortable chairs in front of the desk.
"What was that Hinata?" Hiashi said over his folded hands.
" I….I….I d-d-d-don't k-k-know what-t-t-t happen-n-n…" was all Hinata muttered out.
"How do you not know!?" Hiashi yelled, standing suddenly looming ominously over his desk. "You said you had a handle on the expansion project, you were to have won over the board onto our side and yet here I sit through that meeting and listen to someone else besides you with the numbers and the plan to make it work! Again and Again you fail at doing the simplest of tasks!"
Neji stepped toward Hinata being in shock at the ferocity of Hiashi's anger. Not knowing what to do as Hiashi slammed his fists on the desk.
"You are nothing but a disgrace and I am tired of your failures! Why should I keep you around!? To have your shortcomings thrown in my face!" Hiashi continued not noticing Neji had stepped in front of Hinata who shook with sobs. "Just get out! You are no longer my daughter nor are you worthy of the Hyuuga name! I don't ever want to set eyes upon you again!"
So stunned that Hinata just stood there in complete shock.
"GET OUT!" Hiashi screamed slamming his hands on the desk jerking both Hinata and Neji out of there shock.
Hinata sprang into action dashing from the room with tears pouring down her face. Neji in his shock did not have the reflexes to catch up to her.
Hinata ran into a world she only saw through the gates of the high Hyuuga walls. A world she had never been into alone. A world that could change her fate if only she could she the light of hope.
