Padma likes stolen moments like these. Just her, Luna, and tangled sheets, arms cocooning each other.
Luna's silver eyes peer blearily at her, her pale platinum-blonde hair splayed over both of their faces. It tickles Padma's nose and she giggles, brushing it away with utmost gentleness.
"Good morning," Padma whispers.
Luna's breath ghosts her cheek as she shifts nearer, her pink lips tantalizingly close. "Good morning," she murmurs sleepily, her fingers combing Padma's hair idly.
Sun rests its lazy rays on their faces. Padma ducks under the blankets and buries her nose in Luna's mauve sweater, inhaling the heavenly scent adorning it: sea breeze and sand. It reminds her of her family's cottage on the coast, of cloudless days lounging on beach towels or bathing in the ocean, splashing Parvati and irking her to no end. Padma has always been the more laid-back twin, while Parvati has been the good girl, gossipy twin.
"I love being with you," she mumbles into Luna's stomach, her voice muffled by the thick fabric, "no matter how crazy you are."
Luna chuckles, a mellifluous, rich sound. "I love you too." Her lips brush Padma's dark hair in a light, feathery kiss.
Padma gazes upward. Looking into Luna's eyes is like looking at liquid silver. Her eyes captivate her in more ways than one, and with a heart bursting with love, she claims Luna's lips at last.
Luna's lips are soft, and she tastes like mint lip balm. Padma devours them in one passionate, hungry swoop. Her fingers are entangled in Luna's hair and oh, there's nothing better than kissing Luna Lovegood. Nothing.
Luna is a beautiful human being, she decides, no matter her peculiar affinity for nonexistent creatures. She's perfect, at least to Padma, and that's all that matters.
