~Prologue~
(Note: Anything italic is either a flashback, or a thought)
A group of indians stood around the fire, the bright flames emitting the darkness of the starry night. The cries of indian children filled the village of the Inconician Tribe...as the noble, and brave Sukai, arrived. The young children ran to greet him as he entered, along with the other fellow indians who had returned from hunting in the east rivers. Sukai, was a great, smart, and serious warrior, and in fact...a great story teller too.
So tonight, listen close to the adventurous tale he will tell about him and his noble companion...The Lone Ninja.
-Western Ninjago Gulch, 1898-
The evening breeze smelled sour as the wind blew through the busy streets of Ninjago Gulch. Folks were seen doing their own things...working, cleaning, all sorts of heavy chores or any afternoon job. The train stopped at the station, which seemed to silence the crowd around the market, people started to gather around to see, curious as any human being would be. Five white men left the head of the train, shouting loud and clear, "Once treated us like fools, have they...well now we can put that behind us and teach them a lesson! For doubting our speak of unity! No longer will we need to move away, from our homes because of their territory, we will fight, and claim what they have taken from us!"One of the men, dragged along several indians bounded together with chains, towards the Gulch's prison where they will be sentenced to death, and with that said...all the folks cheered and even awarded the first white man for putting an end to the rein of what they call...savages.
But the indians and fellow white men, weren't the only ones aboard the train oh no, there was also another passenger who stepped out: a boy. His hair was wild, dark brown and spiky, his clothes a dark shade of red and shoes with cross laces. How did, this boy manage to get on the train along with the men? He was nothing more than an abandoned orphan, no mother, no father, no relatives to look up to and gain protection from...he was just one little boy.
But not just a boy. Why? Well, he could do things others cant...as such, the next act he did...was heroic, yet risky to himself.
The boy steps out of the trains passenger car, and sets foot on the dirt ground, looking around he notices the indians being held in captivity. He believed that was pretty stupid, since the indians were responsible for no crime at all. That's right, all the white man said to the town...was just all a big lie to get them on his account.
But the boy couldn't tell the folks the truth...I mean, who would believe him? Why absolutely no one. He would just be risking his own life, better yet embarrass himself in the face of the whole town.
Anyway, as he looked upon the innocent indians in jail, he decided to put things right, since he couldn't speak for it. The boy snuck into the jail, without a sound, as quiet as a mouse...careful not to draw attention he hid in the shadows on the walls of the building, the indians watched him curiously. The boy entered the jail cell room, where all the indians were held, and grabs the key from the hook on the east wall. Unlocking the cells, the indians made their quick get away towards the canyon, where they will hide until it was safe.
The boy felt that his work was done, but as so, an indian boy runs to him and thanks him for all he's done. The boy simply responds with a, "Your welcome..." The indian boy smiled and gave the boy a feather, as a gift from him. The boy thanked him and watched as the indian boy had left to hide with his tribe.
20 years passed, and the boy who had saved the indians forgot what he had done...but of course, the indian boy vowed to return the favor to him...
And so he had...
