"I jus dun know. Wat do ya think Willeeam?" Nell all but demanded shoving a large, and William would add, possibly loaded musket towards his face.
"Nahehaheha!" With a gentle shove he pushed just away from his face and looked at the engraving on the side. He was rather disturbed to discover it was a graphic depiction of a bear getting shot. "Well it is lovely-"
"It is!" She cooed aiming it at the storeowner, who ducked behind his counter, alerting him that it was loaded.
"And the salesman said it was an excellent shot-" William tried to direct it towards the floor.
"Super-ab Willeeam! Super-ab!" She spun towards the passer bys on the street.
"Yes!" William agreed, "Indeed! But," he quickly pushed the muzzle down all the way, "Isn't it a bit…oh…you know…silly?"
"Silly how?" Nell squinted at him and began leaning on it.
"Silly…silly. You know…" Was it getting hot or was it just his imagination?
"No. I dun't." Nell was full out frowning. "Tis store? Yor idear. Geht im a gun Nell, ya said, he'd like a gun. Whell!" She placed a hand gingerly on her brow and sniffed. "Naw ya jus dun like me taste, an ya call et…silly?"
"No! No, sweat heart, I would never! No, no. Now that is a silly thought." William gulped as he saw she was still on full course to fake a cry. "Well-well-what would you get?"
Immediately she perked up and laughed a little. Really it was more of a deep-throated giggle, but all the same. "Moo-ah? I'd like tah geht me some crushed green velvet, jewel encrusted gloves! Wouldint et be jus lovely?" She gave a small high-pitched giggle and wiggled the fingers on her left hand, as if imagining she was already wearing them.
"Ye…yes. Yes, they would, but I meant for Finis." William chuckled as he put that request away for her birthday.
"Who? Finis, ah yes, the man deffinatly neads a…" she paused thinking desperately of anything, "…a tea cozy." They both scrunched their faces at the obvious flaw in that.
The owner by this time had carefully inched his way forward and cleared his throat nervously. "Sh-shall I wrap 'er up then?" He gave his best smile and firmly grabbed the gun under Nell's giant weight. " 'Af price ya know." He wiggled it a few times.
With a giant roll of her eyes Nell stood up straight. "Well, ya dun 'af tah beh rude about et." The owner smiled gratefully and ran with it to the wrapping counter.
"Nahehaheha! Well, I suppose the matter is settled then!" William smiled cheerfully and pulled out the required amount of money. "I mean, all's well that ends well eh?" Nell pushed William to the side and sized the gun as the money hit the counter.
"Darn right et does!" She proclaimed and with a slightly overly confident smiled slung the parcel over her shoulder and bumped four customers on her way out.
A smile twitched on William's lips. "That is why I love that woman." He sighed to the owner, who stared blankly at him.
"Comin' Willeeam?" She popped her head back in the doorway.
And with a small start William trotted to the door to escort her home.
AN: I love these two. This fic was requested by Weetzie06, so send some love her way peoples. In case you didn't know I don't own Corpse Bride or any of it's characters, if I did I would have a legion of fan girls and boys (and, scarily enough, hot topic shoppers) with whom I would take over the world! Mwahahahaha!
