A very short one shot, that is basically just an extension of the scene in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1, after Ron leaves, when Harry and Hermionie dance in the tent. Athough this scene wasn't in the book, I really liked it, and Harry and Hermionie's friendship in general. My first Happy Potter fic!

Disclaimer: I don't own Harry Potter...

Harry trudged into the tent and plopped down in a chair, feeling sufficiently miserable after the departure of Ron. He glanced over at Hermionie, who was dismally listening to the song that issued from the speakers of the small radio, and filled the room. As Harry had a sudden idea, he got up and walked over to Hermionie, offering her his hand. She took it uncertainly, and allowed Harry to pull her to her feet. As the music continued to play, Harry began to sway back and forth, dancing with her. At first she was apprehensive, but as they danced, she couldn't hold back her smile, and soon she was twirling and turning and laughing and smiling and enjoying the presence of her best friend. Hermionie leaned her head on Harry's shoulder, and let herself go.

"So you really did love him, huh?" Hermionie heard Harry ask.

"Who?" Hermionie replied, puzzled.

"Oh, I think you know who I'm talking about Hermionie." Harry said, pulling back to look her in the eyes.

"Yeah," she sighed, "I guess."

Harry enjoyed the silence for a while, smiling, and finally said, "Thank you."

"For what, Harry?" Hermionie questioned, furrowing her eyebrows in confusion.

"Staying with me, I know it wasn't an easy thing to do." Harry responded, genuinely grateful.

"I made a promise, Harry." Hermionie told him.

"I know, but still."

Again, the silence stretched on, but it was a comfortable, happy kind of silence, and it was much-needed considering the sad situation.

And even though Ron was gone, Harry and Hermionie were glad with the fact that they had each other, and that was enough for now.
