Today was the day! She was going back to school; to teach, of course. Things were finally going back to normal, like how they were before the first curse broke. Her alarm clock had woken her at 5:45 am, she and Charming wanted to go visit their daughter that morning to make her breakfast, Neal woke ten minutes later. She and her husband were soon out the door on their way to their daughter's place, ready for the day. The drive was filled with the wailing cries of the baby in the back seat; Neal had started teething and was always screaming his lungs out. They had tried everything to calm him, but he only seemed to calm in the presence of Regina. Snow wasn't jealous of Regina though, she just wanted to understand why Neal felt the way he did. He probably didn't even know why he was this way himself, god know what babies feel!
As they pulled into the driveway of the two-story house snow turned to look at her husband, she smiled when he leant in and kissed her lovingly on her blood red lips. They let themselves in with their spare key and began making breakfast. Davis was the one actually making the breakfast, snow was preparing herself for her first day back. It was an hour later, at 7:30 am, that Emma came downstairs; she was already ready dressed and ready for the day.
The two parents kissed their daughter good morning. Emma wasn't surprised to see her parents in her house this early in morning; they were extremely predictable (and loved her a lot).
"So, are you excited for your first day back mom?" she asked her mother casually.
"Oh, I am! I've been sorting out all my stuff for the day since Charming and I got here. To be honest I've been preparing myself since I decided I wanted to teach again. I know I might be going a bit over the top," she said glance at her massive pile of books and paper (her lesson plan for the term), "but I just know that I want to teach again; it truly does make me happy!" she finished her rambling.
"We can see that!" her husband called to Snow, not bothering to look at her. Snow rolled her eyes at her husband's child-like behaviour; it was one of the reasons she married him though.
Just then Regina burst through the front door practically running into the kitchen where everyone was gathered.
"Is my grown-up daughter ready for her first day back teaching?!" she exclaimed overly excitedly when she entered; a humongous, and genuine, smile on her flustered face.
Everybody stared incredulously at her with their jaws dropped to the floor, shocked by what they had heard come out of the former Evil Queen's mouth. Did they hear right? Did Regina just call Snow her daughter?! Her daughter? Her daughter?
