The wind blows around

Their bodies like a whisper

Caressing their hearts

She reaches her hand

To touch him would be enough

The trees seem to shift

He aches to feel her

Deep in his heart he knows

That they cannot be

The moon seems to weep

She can hear their hearts breaking

Sadness overcomes

They melt together

Embracing for the last time

The wind does not sooth

They do not tarry

They know the sun will rise soon

It knows no pity

They part in grief

Tears run like streams down their eyes

The pain is too great

They dare not speak now

They will both crumble like sand

If they voice their woe

Their hearts seem to burn

Like a fire that consumes

Only anguish thrives

The forest suffers

It cannot bear to watch them

The weary lovers
