Okay so I decided to look back on this story and fix a few things, I'm hoping that my story writing has improved over the past few years since I last wrote this but bear with me and hopefully I'll be able to make this story more interesting and less….cheesy per say.
DISCLAIMER:I do not own naruto
Back in the slight run down town that sakura lived in, the sun was shining brightly peeping through the window only slight enough to light up the room with its bright rays of sunshine. Today was supposed to be a wonderful warm summers day, flowers blooming, children's laughs being heard from the outside of the slightly opened window letting the summer air flow through the room as the sleep deprived woman lay in her comfortable bed appearing to be dead as a human being ever could be.
The alarms high pitched beeping rang through the room and through the unknown woman ears earning a slight groan and shuffling of the sheets pushing them off the slumped her way over to the bathroom.
"Mondays… Gotta love Mondays Sakura."
Rushing to get herself ready Sakura washed her face, got dressed and locked her door to head to her workplace at the coffee shop around the corner. Working at the coffee shop wasn't exactly hard… Well. It wasn't hard when it came to doing the actual work that her boss provided for her, it was difficult when the customers had gotten involved which unfortunately there was no way avoiding.
Sakura spent majority of her days working for the money of which she needed in order to pay her rent on time which was very rare that she actually had the money gathered to pay it on time. With her parents dead it was hard to pay all her bills and afford food and niceties to live in a healthy environment and remain hygienic.
Sakura Haruno was what you would call true beauty, a woman any man would want. The only problem was society did not approve of her at all, anything from her words to her looks, it can't be helped wherever you go you would be judged and she knew that. Unfortunately Sakura lived her everyday life walking to and from work overhearing the whispered gossip about her, people calling her names and insulting her under their breathes in hopes of her not hearing but to no avail she had heard them. Rumours and assumptions that were never true were constantly being spread around. Women and men never bothered to help Sakura, for some thought she was nothing but a poor diseased woman who couldn't even take care of her own hygiene, Which in Sakura's opinion was completely ridiculous considering she was extremely clean especially when it came to herself.
Sakuras work didn't give her much pay at all, Heck if you asked her she was under payed but she took the money she was given anyway. Unfortunately Sakura wasn't one to question, she was just thankful to even have a job but she would always sit at home and daydream, wondering what is would it be like to be rich and live life to the fullest like the celebrities you saw on tv did.
Walking into work she placed her apron over her head and tied a knot at the back securing it in place. Walking towards the front of the counter she prepared herself for a hard days work.
'Today is not a day for crying', she reminded herself ,trying to keep her head held high hoping she looked much braver than what she felt, flinching every now and then as the new customer expressed his anger .
"What do you mean there's no more muffins left?! goddamnit! I'm sure you can just whip something up can't you? I mean really it's not that hard!"
"Uh, Im sorry sir, please just calm down I-I'll see what else we have that comes close to a choc chip muffin"
"I said a choc chip muffin, not something that comes close to one!"
'Slap!' Sakura fell to the floor as the tempered male slapped her harshly across the face rubbing the hot red mark on her cheek trying her best not to cry in front of the other customers and especially her boss who was watching from the back of the shop...Surely it was going to leave a mark, she'd have to make sure to put ice on it when she got home to stop any major bruising.
"Tch..you worthless mutt." The male customer spat on her ,shoving the door open and leaving the shop with a slam of the door.
Being abused at work wasn't really all that unusual. If anything it was an everyday day thing that happened to her, like a human brushing their teeth every morning. Go to work, get abused, get paid and then go home, that was most of her weeks consisted of.
"Sakura!" Her boss called from behind the counter, disgust and disappointment written all over his face. Her stomach dropping like a bag of bricks, her motions slowly taking over and tears were threatening to spill any second. She knew this was it, nothing good ever came of her boss when he called.
Rushing forward, her boss stepped out back, Sakuras hands clenching as he spoke.
"I'm sorry Sa-"
"Please don't fire me! You don't understand, nobody will take me! How am I supposed to find another job? "She felt like the air in her lungs was restricted; her heart was racing so fast that she could feel the beating of her heart against her chest. He had to understand the situation she was really in, she couldn't get fired, not yet.
Sighing her boss's face softened, slightly irritated with the whole situation but also pitying the poor girl he placed a firm hand on her shoulder. "I'm sorry, we've been trialling you for weeks now and all the customers have done is abuse you and leave..Sakura we're not even making enough money to cover your pay...I'm sorry but you're fired"
She couldn't move. Sakura haruno, had just gotten fired. Fired.
"Sakura look you know the rules about workers and customers being out back, considering your now a customer I'm going to ask you to leave."
"H-Hai, I understand." dropping her apron into her Bo-… Ex boss's hands, she walked back inside the restaurant made her way outside into the bright warm sun.
What was she supposed to do now? Give up her home and live inside a cardboard box?. She had no job, which meant she had no money, which meant she wouldn't be able to pay the rent, which led to her having no home and the result of her being homeless living in a cardboard box on the street.
She was basically screwed.
As the hours past, the air grew cold and the sun setting Sakura walked along the street of shops, people walking up and down, cars beeping and lights flashing. Stopping she noticed an ice cream shop.
"I suppose some ice cream won't hurt." Smiling to herself, ice cream would finitely not hurt.
Taking out her money she walked into the ice cream store and roamed the many flavours of ice cream.
"Excuse me sir!" Sakura called to the man working behind the counter.
"I'd like o-"
"Two strawberry ice creams please."
Turning around, there stood the most gorgeous man she had ever met in her life, eyes as dark and frightening as a crow, tall and slightly built skin as pale as snow. Surely he had done some kind of training with those muscles of his.
"there you go" the worker spoke handing the two strawberry ice creams to the 'god' as sakura had like to call him. Look up at him with curiosity the so called 'god' held out a strawberry ice cream for you to take.
"Why are you giving me this?" You asked him taking the ice cream out of his hands. It wasn't an everyday thing that someone gave you something out of sheer kindness, usually there was always a catch.
"You looked like you need ed some cheering up so I bought it for you" he explained, walking towards the vacant table only to have you follow him and sit in front of him.
"How did you know what flavour I was going to pick?"
"I didn't, it just reminded me of your hair so I picked strawberry." He replied whilst eating his ice-cream.
"So what's your name?"
"Sakura…What's yours?"
"Sasuke."
So that's what his name was...Sasuke.'I wonder if he would mind me calling him Sasuke-Kun' Pondering on the thought Sakura set down the change she had been holding in her hand, sliding it across the table and setting it nicely in front of him.
"It might not cover it all, but it's the least I could do in return. Thank you" Bowing she went to leave but his hand stopped you from doing so.
"Take the money back" he ordered, shoving the coins back into your hand.
"All I want is your company, that's all I ask about we meet up again next time?"
Nodding your head Sasuke got up and left the ice cream shop leaving you there in your thoughts. Squealing to herself Sakura zipped up her jacket and headed home." How about we met up again next time" 'He wants to meet again!'
