It's just the two them.
Their past, present, future, it doesn't matter.
Not right now.
It doesn't matter that he's always been so much better than her.
It doesn't matter that no-one will ever know her name.
It doesn't matter that there's a wedding downstairs that they should be part of.
It doesn't matter that they've had so many arguments in the past two weeks.
It doesn't matter that they've forgotten what those arguments were even about.
It doesn't matter that it's silent.
The silence is comforting.
His hand resting gently over hers.
Sitting next to each other.
Looking straight ahead.
Together, but not together.
It doesn't matter that he's not ready for the future yet.
For marriage, for children, for growing old together.
It doesn't matter because they're together.
The precious few moments they have alone before life gets in the way again.
Because life always gets in the way.
But right now it can't interrupt them.
Because even though he isn't looking at her the way he squeezes her hand let's her know.
They'll get there in the end.
It doesn't matter that it's going to take a while.
So that was my first Harry Potter fic in about four years, hope you liked it and reviews would be appreciated :].
