"Syaoran, you're my bestest friend in the WHOLE WIDE WORLD!" exclaimed a bubbly 7 year-old girl with sparkling emerald eyes. An amber eyed boy blushed and hid his face.
"You're mine, too," he replied softly. She giggled and grabbed the ball from the ground.
"Let's play kick ball!" She kicked the ball with all her might. Seeing it fly towards the street, she raced towards it. The boy started to chase after her, but suddenly a truck came out of nowhere.
BAM!
"No!" Syaoran fell to the ground as he stared in shock at the bloody mess in the street.
Only one thought went through my mind at that point.
She's gone.
Then everything went black.
Normal POV
Syaoran groaned as he felt himself wake up in the middle of the night. Once again, he had dreamed of that mysterious girl with emerald eyes.
I mean it's not like I dream about her every single day of my damn life.
He groaned again, but this time from frustration. Who the hell is this girl?
I'm a 24 year old man, and I've been asking myself this question for 14 damn years.
He remembers nothing. Only his dreams tell him his memories. Except they always miss a vital information – just who is that girl?
"Syaaooooooraaaan~!" he heard a woman calling, and his face began to pale. No, it can't be her. She's not here, she's not here, someone please goddamn tell me she's not fucking here!
BAM!
The door slammed open – there stood a beautiful and overly enthusiastic woman with shiny black waistline length hair. Her crimson eyes gleamed with joy as she finally spotted her weary cousin.
"SYAORAN!" she screamed and jumped him.
Damn it, she's here…
"What do you want, Meilin?" Syaoran growled. Clearly, he doesn't enjoy his mornings to be spoiled.
"Can't I say hello to my wonderful fiancé?" she giggled.
How he hated that giggle. He glared at her, peeled her off, and hissed, "The marriage is off. I'm not your fiancé, and you're not my goddamn fiancée."
Meilin couldn't help but shiver. Syaoran was absolutely frightening when he was angry…
"Oh, silly cousin of mine. Can't you see that I obviously do it to spite you?" She replied, giggling again. She took in his messy attire. "Obviously someone was a little late in getting up this morning… It's already noon!"
She watched his eyes bulge out and mouth that shot open. "No! It can't be noon!" He frantically looked for his clock that he had sometime in the night thrown across the room. It couldn't be noon. "Shit, I missed 3 damn meetings."
"Language, Master Li!" she mocked him. She knew how he absolutely hated his obligations, how he wished to be a normal person instead being known as the powerful CEO of Li Corporations, how he just wished to be free. He glared at her. She watched him as he raced around the room looking for his alarm clock. But what he didn't know was that she had actually set his clock to be 10 hours early…
Finally he spotted the clock under his bed. Puzzled on how it got there, he quickly reached for it and looked at the time. 4:21. 4:21A.M. That's not 12 o'clock… In his sleep deprived state, it took him a couple of minutes to realize that Meilin had lied to him. Lied. To. Him.
He spotted the devil inching towards the door. "Eheh… Well, Syaoran, I'll take my leave n—"
"NO NEED. I'll SHOW YOU OUT!" he snapped. Thus, a race around the mansion began.
"AND STAY OUT!" Syaoran yelled as he slammed the door shut.
"M-mouu… H-he didn't… have to be… that harsh…" Meilin wheezed. She glared at the door and strutted off.
Syaoran sank to the floor, his back against the front door to his mansion. I need to find her.
