I'm outside. It's snowing, a blizzard. My fingers laced through the metal links in the fence. I look to the outside world. I'm waiting for that familiar face to appear from the woods beyond the fence.
A searing pain shoots up my left arm. My left arm. My eyes trace down to the gash, right below my inner elbow. Blood rushes down and drips off at the tips of my fingers.
My eyes drop to the puddle of blood on the pure white snow. The warm liquid slightly melting it. My lips curl in disgust. More pain, into the bone this time though.
A single tear slides down my cheek. I let out a scream. I'm screaming his name. Wisdom, my friend. Wisdom, my world. Wisdom, my everything. Wisdom, the boy I should've went with into the vast forest.
"Wonder?" A voice says. That voice, oh that voice! I know it so well. It's that of Wisdom. I thought I'd never see his angelic face again. He takes my thin wrist in his hands, getting blood on his fingers and palms.
"Wonder, what'd you do to yourself?" He says. Just then my mouth went dry. Chasmed with unspoken words. I simply wrapped my arms around him. Tears over flowing now. Not from the pain, no, but from happiness.
He didn't respond at first, but I felt him gently slidding his arms around me. After a few moments he broke the silence. "I'm sorry. I was gone way too long. I didn't think anything would happen." He whispered into my hair. He pulled me closer and tightened his grip. "I'm sorry." He says again.
All of a sudden my feet were lifted off the ground. I gasped, for I didn't know what was happening.
