For Incognito's October Challenge, from the DG forum. (This is my first Draco/Ginny ever! :)
"I hate leaves," Draco complained.
"What's wrong with leaves?" I asked curiously.
We were standing beneath a tree, and the wind was blowing, causing leaves to fall.
"Because they keep hitting me in the head!" he exlaimed.
"What, are they bruising your big head?" I asked.
"Ginny!" he protested. "They are annoying me. Not hurting me!"
"You think I don't know that?"
He held one of my hands in his.
He looked positively beautiful, the wind blowing his light hair back.
The colorful leaves swirling around him.
The sky was the exact color of his stormy eyes, which reminded me.
It was about to rain, at least, according to Professor Trelawny.
Though I think she just looked out at the clouds.
"Cumulonimbus," I muttered.
"What?" asked Draco, confused. "Is that the hex of the week from Witch Weekly?"
I chuckle at him, shaking my head and rolling my eyes.
"They're a type of clouds, also called thunderheads. It's going to rain soon."
"What, can you predict the future now-"
And that was when it started to pour.
"You jinxed it," I accused him.
"You predicted it," he retorted. "This is another thing to hate about October."
"Draco?" I asked.
"What?"
"There is one thing good about this," I told him.
"That we're partly sheltered by this tree?" he suggested wrly, with his usual, sardonic smirk.
"You've never kissed me in the rain before," I said.
Maybe Draco was right, and I really could predict the future, because guess what happened next?
We kissed, of course!
We kissed in the October rain, with the leaves swirling around us.
It wasn't my first kiss, but it was my first one in the rain.
It was sweet.
And it was just like the most shocking watercoaster you've ever been on- but better.
Way better.
