A/N:

I'm learning the Chinese language and culture. This is my 1st and perhaps only attempt at writing in Chinese on FFN, with help from my Hong Kong friend, Fei-chu Wong.

I know this piece of writing is a bit short but at least I've tried. A reader said it looked like English & Tamil. Well, you need a decoding software to display Chinese characters. If you have the software & understand Chinese, please read & review.

In GoF, at the welcome feast for the Beauxbatons & Durmstrang students & staff, Bouillabaisse, a French dish, was served. Have you ever thought what dish would be served if there were Chinese guests? The art of cooking & eating plays a big part in Chinese culture & the styles of cooking & ingredients can vary tremendously from province to province. I've only tried a few dishes & some of them are mentioned below.

By the way, I found out that 'Chang' is a Chinese surname & 'Cho' is a Chinese word meaning 'autumn'. Therefore, Cho Chang is of Chinese origin, not Japanese as perceived by many HP readers.
