Chapter 1
As Piper Moore walked up the stairs to her room she thought about the day she'd had. She's been late getting up for school, forgot her math homework on the dining room table, and gotten a 66 on a science quiz. She wasn't having a good day. What she didn't know was that things were about to get a little worse.
Piper has a gift. She can see spirits of people who haven't crossed over yet, because they have something unfinished on earth. Her job is to help them cross over by helping them feel complete. She talks to strangers, makes a fool of herself sometimes, but she always feels good about it when it's over. However, she doesn't feel too great about the spirits always looking for her. Only when they first come to her does she feel annoyed, but she gets over it...usually. As Piper walked into her room she turned her light on. She closed her door and when she turned around, a man was standing by her bed. It caught her off guard, they usually did at first. He just looked at her. He was tall, and wet. Water dripped off of him, like he'd just gotten out of a pool, and he was blue, like he was freezing. He was dressed in what looked like an old tux, the tail went down to his knees.
"What do you want?" she asked, but got no reply. And just like that, he was gone. Usually when they came to her, they said something, a name, a place, or why they needed her. But he said nothing. She knew he'd be back, but she was going to enjoy the time of his absence.
a/n: i would greatly appreciate any feedback from the readers. I have a part of the second chapter typed up, but if no one feels the need to find out where this is going, i won't bother finishing it. Thanks!
