TriceroDragon: Yikes, this is going wayyy back, guys. I wrote this as my debut as a fanfic writer, and I think it came out alright. Okay, it was crap, but give me a break, readers! Well, here's a remake of my very first fic, Love on the Blazing Wind. This is the root of my inspiration, and what inspires me every time I sit down at my PC to write. And to answer a few questions:

1: I forgot Kouichi, cause when I wrote this, I hadn't seen anything past episode 27, so I didn't even know about him. Sorry, I'll make sure I include him this time around.

2: This was my first fic, so I didn't want to leave any open endings, I might, in this re-write though.

Ten years had passed since their amazing adventures in the Digital World, and Takuya Kanbara was sitting in the small kitchen of his new apartment in Downtown Shinjuku. He was lost in thought, thinking of a girl from his past; Izumi. Ever since she had moved to New York three years ago he had found himself thinking of her whenever he was alone, and at the most unusual times. Like on the train to work every morning. He laughed at himself. He'd once promised himself he'd never get so emotional over a woman. He'd seen what it had done to others, and didn't want it happening to him.

And suddenly the phone rang, startling him from his reverie. It rang a few times before he regained the presence of mind to answer it. It was Tomochi, another of his companions from the Digital World.

"Hey Takuya!" came the greeting

"Hi Tomochi, how's college?" Takuya replied

"Oh that? Great! My professors are so cool! Although, the work could be a bit more challenging"

"Wow that's wonderful. College is an interesting place, huh? Been years since I went."

"I honestly don't know why you left! Frat parties are the coolest kind of parties!"

"Huh, a bunch of guys getting drunk, crushing beer cans on their heads, and trying to mess around with innocent sorority girls? Not my idea of a party."

"Heh, well, your call. And you seem distracted, a bit. Still thinking about Izumi, huh?

"How'd you guess?"

"Oh come on Takuya, I've known you for 10 years, how could I not know?" said Tommy, "Maybe you ought to go look for her in New York" he continued.

"I don't know..."

"Well it's your choice but if it were me I'd definitely go for it"

"You're right. I'll do it. Why, I don't know. I bet you I regret this, but I'll go. I'll call for a leave of absence, and have lunch with Kouji, then get around to packing..."

"Okay, I'll talk to you later."

"Bye Tommy" and he hung up. Suddenly the phone rang again. It rang once this time before he picked up.

"Hi Takuya" It was Izumi. Takuya froze a little.

"Hi Izumi" said Takuya hesitantly.

"What's wrong?"

"Oh me? Nothing" He gave a light chuckle.

"So what's going on?" Izumi asked

"Not much. I just moved into my new apartment. How are things with you?"

"I'm doing great here. I just got a new house in this little suburb by the ocean. It's called Rockaway"

"That must be nice"

"Maybe you could drop by if you're in town sometime. Here's my address"

Takuya copied down the address as she spoke.

"Okay, well I've got to got to go. I'm meeting Kouji for lunch in a little while"

"All right, see you later"

Takuya hung up the phone for the second time that day, Thought a moment, and shook his head, grabbed his jacket and headed out the door.

TriceroDragon: Ah, rewrites, a second chance to go back, and "write" the wrongs of the past. Get it? I am the pun master! "Write", "Right", get it? Aw... nobody understands my genius...
