Hey everyone. This story was brought to you by Yule Log Burning in the Hogwarts Eastern Winter Funfair, and Holmes Mystery on Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. For Yule Log Burning my prompt was candle. For Holmes Mystery my prompt was the character of Rose Weasley. I hope you all enjoy Christmas Tradition.
Rose Weasley's favorite part of Christmas was decorating the house for the holiday. She enjoyed everything about it. From the getting the Christmas items out of the shed and bringing them into the house. To setting up the Christmas tree in the living room while listening to Christmas tunes on her mother's old radio.
"Rosie be careful about the cords for the lights," her dad called out as she almost tripped on said cord.
Holding an antique Santa Clause that used to belong to Grandma and Grandpa Granger she looked around her to spot the perfect place to put it. Finding the perfect place to be on the rarely used chair in the front hall. That way the little antique stuffed Santa and his wife would be the first thing everyone saw when they entered that house.
"What's next she whispered to herself?" as she walked back to the box of Christmas items yet to be put up. Then she saw them the Christmas candles that were also a Granger tradition but hadn't been used since before Rose and Hugo came along. "Can we put up the Christmas candles this year, Mum?"
Hermione smiled as she looked at the candles that she'd always loved to help her father set up around the living room when she was younger. "Of course we can," she told her daughter taking hold of one the long white candles with a bow attached and some holly on the bow. "Why don't you grab one and we'll set these up on the end tables?"
Rose nodded eagerly grabbing a candle and walking over to the opposite end table of where her mother was. Setting the candle down she looked around her hoping this could be a tradition that the family continued with. Going back to the box she continued to help decorate the house and the tradition now held new meaning.
I hope you all enjoyed Christmas Tradition.
