Percy POV
6:59 was the time that glowed on Percy's phone. His eyes glanced down worryingly. He's supposed to meet Annabeth at a restaurant for their 7:00 reservations, and if he was late, he would be a dead man. Percy was worried. Annabeth called him during work telling him about the reservations, but she sounded nervous. When he asked if she was ok, she quickly said yes and hung up. Percy looked out the window and watched the city roll by. The cab quickly pulled up to the restaurant, and Percy paid the driver and dashed inside as the clock turned to 7.
Annabeth POV
Annabeth was sitting at a table in a restaurant waiting for her husband to walk in. She was nervous, to say the least. She straightened out her hair and smoothed her hands over her outfit. She made sure to wear an outfit that Percy would enjoy, a teal blue dress with a low v-neck and stopped mid-thigh along with lacy black heels. She checked her watch and looked out the window, it was almost 7. What if he decided to bail on her? "Don't be silly," she thought to herself. They have been married 2 years and dated 8 years before then. If he wanted to leave her, he would've done so. Still, she let out a shaky breath and closed her eyes trying to calm her nerves. When she heard the door open, she shot her head up and saw her gorgeous husband looking around for her. "So that's why he was almost late," she thought to herself. Percy had changed from his work attire to an outfit that he knew she liked. A black button down, with a dark blue blazer and matching slacks. When he finally saw her and started walking, her breath hitched. No matter how many times she looked at him, she couldn't get over just how gorgeous he was. His sharp jawline, his messy black hair, his tanned skin, but most of all his piercing sea-green eyes. She frowned slightly, his eyes were filled with worry and she felt bad. She was anxious this morning and he must've sensed it during their call. He pulled out the chair from across her and sat down.
Percy POV
Wow...just, wow. When Percy laid his eyes on Annabeth he was taken aback. She was stunning, her big grey eyes were so captivating that he could stare into them all day if she'd let him, and her golden hair that flowed around her shoulders caught glimpses of the light which made it look like a light from the heavens was shining on her. She was an absolute goddess and he didn't know what he did to be able to be with an amazing woman like her. However, he quickly remembered how nervous she sounded over the phone and he made his way over hoping that everything was fine. He sat himself down and looked up at her.
"You look gorgeous Annabeth," Percy said stating the obvious. Annabeth's eyes glanced up and met Percy's before shooting back down at the table.
"Thank you, you look very handsome as well," Annabeth stated softly. Percy stayed silent, deciding it was best to let her talk. Slowly she raised her eyes to meet his and his heart shattered seeing them so full of concern and worry.
Annabeth POV
This was it. She had to get it done and over with or else she would lose her confidence. She slowly raised her eyes to look at the love of her life sitting across from her. She steeled her nerves and pulled out a small black box tied with a blue bow and gave it to Percy. His eyes filled with confusion as he took the box in his hands.
"Um, did I forget something? Is today some sort of special day?"
Annabeth gave a small smile and said, "Just open it Seaweed brain."
Percy nodded and time seemed to slow as she watched him slowly pull the ribbon. The pretty bow fell and he took off the lid. Annabeth was watching his face the whole time looking for any signs of disgust. He stared at the object for a bit before lifting it out of the box.
"Annabeth?" Percy asked with a hopeful tone.
Annabeth inwardly let out a sigh of relief and smiled.
Percy POV
Percy took off the lid, confused as to why they had to go to some fancy restaurant for a small box she could've given him at home. However, as soon as he opened the box he understood. He picked up the green pacifier.
"Annabeth?" He asked needing that confirmation.
Annabeth smiled and said, "I'm pregnant Percy. You're going to be a dad."
Percy smiled and overcome with emotions stood up and hugged his wife lifting her in the air.
"I'm going to be a dad," he repeated. "We're going to be a family!"
Once they sat down, Percy smiled but remembered the call.
"Wait why did you sound so nervous over the phone?"
"Well...I didn't know how you would take the information. I thought that maybe you'd think it was too fast and not want to take care of our child with me."
Percy was shocked.
"Annabeth," Percy said reaching over the table and grasping her hand. "I love you. You are the most important person in the world to me. I will never leave you." Percy leaned over and kissed Annabeth. The kiss was slow and conveyed all of his love and emotions. They pulled apart and smiled.
"So how were you planning on telling everyone?" Percy asked, sipping the wine Annabeth had already ordered for them.
"Well…"
Percy put down the wine and looked at Annabeth. "They already know don't they?"
Annabeth's eyes got big. "No! Not everyone! Just Piper, Hazel, Thalia, Reyna, and Rachel…" she said sheepishly. Percy let out a sigh. "They just happened to be there when I found out!" Percy raised an eyebrow. "After I called them over," Annabeth finished.
Percy smirked and started to laugh. Annabeth looked up at Percy and laughed with him as well. She went to reach for her wine glass, but Percy was quicker. He took her wine glass and brought it to his side of the table. She looked up at him surprised.
"No drinking." Percy started chuckling at her small pout.
Annabeth POV
"Hey! Thanks so much for coming guys!" Percy said welcoming in Jason, Nico, Grover, Conner, Travis, Will, Leo, and Frank.
Annabeth smiled watching the boys talk amongst themselves. Before the door closed another group of people walked in. Piper, Hazel, Reyna, Rachel, and Thalia. Annabeth walked over to them.
"Hi guys. Thank you for being here." Annabeth said smiling at her friends.
"Of course! How could we miss your gender reveal party!" Hazel stated.
Annabeth smiled and went to grab some of the presents they had in their hands.
"No! You can't pick up this heavy box when you're pregnant!" Piper exclaimed. "Jason!" Piper called to her husband. "Can you please come take this box over to the table?" Jason walked over and picked up the huge box.
"Oh, these too!" The rest of the girls said piling their gifts on top. Annabeth tried to hide a laugh seeing Jason with a mountain of gifts and his face barely peeking over the top.
"Oh, here you go Jason!" Thalia said placing her gift at the top of the pile blocking his view.
"Thalia, don't be so mean to your brother." Rachel said laughing. Annabeth smiled and watched Jason stumble, trying to find the table. She turned her attention back to the girls and walked with them to the kitchen to chat.
After talking with everyone and eating food, the girls sat Annabeth and Percy down at the front of the room. Jason brought over the big box Piper had earlier and slid it in front of them. Once everyone was settled down and looking at the couple, Percy took Annabeth's hand.
"Thank you guys for coming," Annabeth stated. "You guys all mean so much to us and I can't imagine doing this without you guys."
Percy stood up and helped Annabeth out of her chair. Together they ripped the tape off of the box and out came a huge pink balloon with confetti and streamers. Annabeth looked over at Percy.
"We're having a girl," Annabeth stated.
"She's going to be beautiful. Just like her mother." Percy stated smiling down at Annabeth and kissing her.
Everyone cheered and rushed to the couple. The girls crying and touching Annabeth's stomach, and the guys clapping Percy on the back. Annabeth glanced over at Percy and caught his eye. They smiled at each other and he mouthed I love you. Her heart filled with warmth and she mouthed back I love you more.
Percy POV
"Come on Annabeth! You can do it, push!" Percy said holding his wife's hand. Her hair was in a ponytail with strands coming out and around her face. Her legs were propped up and her face was contorted in pain.
Annabeth let out a scream squeezing Percy's hand and probably cutting off circulation. "I hate you! Why would you do this to me!" Annabeth screamed.
Percy winced at the pain. "Love you too." He stated. "Come on, just one more!" Annabeth screamed loud and squeezed his hand hard. Then she slumped down against the seat and let out a huge sigh blowing pieces of her hair. There was a moment of silence before a piercing cry filled the air. The doctors brought over a little baby bundled up in a blanket and handed it to Percy congratulating the couple. Percy peered at the small baby. She was beautiful. She had blonde hair and sea-green eyes. He slowly kneeled down and brought the baby down and gave it to Annabeth. She smiled down at the baby as the baby stared at her with big eyes before slowly closing them and falling asleep. Percy grabbed Annabeth's hand and smiled.
Sometime later, their friends came into the hospital room. They stood surrounding the bed and took turns holding the baby.
"What did you guys decide to name her?" Piper asked.
Percy smiled softly and held Annabeth's hand, "Her name is Silena Celeste Jackson." Nico and Grover's eyes softened. They were the only two that were there and witnessed the death of Silena Beauregard.
"That's a wonderful idea," Nico stated while Grover nodded.
"Are you guys ever going to tell her?" Leo asked. "You know, about the gods and who you guys are and all that stuff?"
"Yeah," Annabeth said. "One day we'll tell her."
After some more talking and cooing over the baby, their friends left. After they were gone there was a bright light that caused Percy and Annabeth to close their eyes and look away. When the light disappeared, they saw Poseidon and Athena standing in the hospital room. They looked over at the baby and smiled.
"We brought something for her," Poseidon said. He walked over and showed the new parents a stunning enchanted hair clip about 3-4 inches long. It had a blue shimmering horse with gold olive branches around it. With closer inspection, Percy noticed that the shimmering was due to water swirling around in the horse. Percy smiled and thanked his dad while Athena walked over to look at the baby.
"As much as I hate the idea of my precious daughter being with the son of that big idiot, you guys made a wonderful daughter." Athena smiled and held the little child in her arms. Poseidon walked over and peered down at Silena. He then glanced over at Athena and nodded. They both put their hands above the sleeping child and a light appeared before her.
"She now has the blessing, along with the protection and powers of the two of us," Athena stated handing the baby back to Annabeth.
"Thank you mom." Annabeth stated with tears at the corners of her eyes. After talking for a bit longer, the two gods flashed out of the room leaving Annabeth and Percy alone with their newborn.
After another day at the hospital, Percy and Annabeth were allowed to take Silena home. The new family walked into their apartment. "Welcome home Silena," Annabeth said. Percy smiled, his heart filled with warmth, and hugged the love of his life and daughter whose eyes were open wide and staring up at her parents.
Hi guys! This is my first fanfiction and I hope you guys enjoyed it. I switched a lot between Percy and Annabeth's POV's but that won't be happening as this story continues. Most of this story will be from Silena's POV.
Also, let me know if the formatting is weird for you guys. I'm very new at this and I really hope to get better.
This story is rated M, for possible lemons later on in the story.
Thank you so much for reading! Please review!
