Hey everyone! Ellis Speaking.

First, I like to thank you all for reading my other piece, How They Fell in Love. Unlike my other stories in the past, this one is one of the longest stories I ever written! So, I'm really happy right now!

But now, my dear readers, this is a new story I like to introduce to you. I've been playing with this idea for quite awhile and with some encouragement from some friends, final decided to publish this story here on fanfiction!

So, without further ado please enjoy!

The doctor watched the procedure with great care. After all, one false move and all of his work would have been for nothing! It had taken him a lot just to get the dark-haired boy to use in his experiment. It would have been a complete waste just to get rid of a perfectly good specimen! In a way, one could say he was recycling their resources for his own personal experiments.

Still, he couldn't just take any specimen. Oh, no! There were certain… requirements he needed in them; the most obvious being good health and such. After all, he can't just expect such a sickly specimen to meet up to his expectations now, can he? No, he needed those that were both mentally and physically strong; ones that still had a little fight left in them. He especially enjoyed those specimens. He, particularly, liked to watch them break.

He smiled, sadistically, at the thought. He will have his chance to break the boy; once all the preparations have been complete, of course. The doctor was interrupted from his thoughts by somebody knocking on the door.

"What is it?" he hissed, hating whoever it was that interrupted his thoughts.

The doctor who performed the procedure came in. He took off his mask before giving his report.

"The patient responded well to the procedure. There were no problems and the patient has remained stable. We expect a full recovery and will check up on him in a week's time. Till then, the patient is to remain rested and well-feed to insure no problems arise."

"Excellent. Your service is greatly appreciated, Dr. Nolan."

Dr. Nolan nodded, though in reality, he was concerned as to why the man had insisted that the surgery be done to the boy in the first place. But, he knew that he was in no place to ask questions. What's done is done and there's no point in changing it now. Though as he left, he started to get a feeling that something was going to happen to that boy. It may not be now, but perhaps in the future.

The doctor, on the other hand, was pleased with the results! Everything was going according to plan. Now, the only thing left to do was to find a perfect… ah… companion for his precious little pet.

So, how'd I do? Please review if you want me to continue. Cause if not, Just like all the other stories, I will press the delete button after a month of no reviews. Of course, before the month's over I will post a warning message a week in advance. So, act quickly on your favorite stories!
