Yes, I really should stop writing new fanfics and update my others, but I'm not in the mood. ^^ anyway, I wanted to write a Doki and Nabi fanfic because they are so cute, and my friend got me addicted, so here it is!

Disclaimer: I own nothing.

It had been a year since Doki had almost walked out of Nabi's life forever. Things had gotten better for them, but there were still plenty of people who hated them for their love. But you can't change everyone's minds and hearts in a day. Doki didn't seem to notice, but then she never really noticed the others didn't approve for a very long time originally. Not until she was attacked, actually. Nabi still feared for her safety even though he knew very well that she could take care of herself. Nabi thought of how they met often, and how intense life was at that time. He thought of the stigma that was attached to relationships like theirs. How he himself had thought at first that this love was wrong, how it needed to stop. He had gone out of his way to try to get Doki to fall for someone else, bringing her athletes, nerds, romantics, anyone he could think of. Now, he was thankful that she hadn't tried to take the easy way out by choosing one of those rabbits instead of him. After a little bit of time though, he realized he loved her just as much, and he was so thankful for her.

Today was a very important day, though, and he needed to keep his thoughts on the present. He walked into the jewelry store, thankful for the fact that it was empty and there wasn't a sign on the front calling for the destruction of his and Doki's love. He walked up to the counter, and although he had never been in this store before, he was greeted by name, and the owner asked how Doki was doing. They were sort of celebrities now, because they didn't run away when they had the chance. Nabi said that Doki was fine and that he was here for a very important piece of jewelry. The owner's face lit up and congratulated him on taking this very important step while Nabi blushed and thanked him. Then the owner asked him to wait right there while he grabbed the perfect one. This made preparations complete for the evening Nabi had been planning for weeks now.

Hours later, Nabi and Doki were sitting on Doki's balcony watching the sunset, as they had done countless times in the past. Doki's mouse was sitting on her shoulder, and Nabi's hand was wrapped around her waist, holding her close as they enjoyed the fading light. Then, Nabi rose from the ground and got Doki on her feet as well. Somewhere, music started playing, and Nabi began a dance with Doki. Doki was a little confused of course, but she kept dancing because this seemed to be something out of dream. The moon lit the balcony and they danced on into the night. Finally, when Doki seemed to get tired, Nabi led her to a chair nearby. When she sat, he walked in front of her, looked her in the eye, and said he had something very important to ask her. He then got down on one knee and pulled out a small box.

"Doki, will you marry me?" He asked, his voice shaking a little, as Doki's eyes got very wide and she brought her hands to her heart. The ring was a simple silver ring that had two strands that wound around the whole of it, and met at the top center, where there was a small green gem.

Doki launched herself at Nabi for a flying hug, yelling that she would marry him in an instant. Nabi hugged her back, again thankful that he was blessed with this beautiful rabbit that he loved so much and who loved him in return. The world could wait, right now all that was important was that she said yes, and that now they would spend the rest of their lives together.

Oh my God! That was so much fun to write! Please review, because I worked really hard on that, and I want your opinions!
