I sat waiting for Lucius' trial to begin, with my son at my side. I hear the sound of doors opening and see the Minister of Magic, Kingsley Shacklebolt, entering the room. The next thing I knew, I felt a deep, unhappy feeling in my stomach, and realized that Lucius had entered the room with two dementors at his side. He didn't look normal, almost unrecognizable. His usually well groomed, bleach-blond hair, looked tangled and dirty. The look on his face was not his usual, smug look, rather a look of fear and sadness. It was so horrible that I couldn't bare to look at him. I heard the guards put shackles on him and then the trial began. As the trial started, I began remembering the first night I found out that Lucius had became a Deatheater.

"I'm sorry, Narcissa." Lucius said to me, as he showed me the dark mark on his arm. "I had no choice."

"I know. It wasn't your choice, but I still don't like it." I said, as tears ran down my cheeks.

"Come sit by me." Lucius said. When I sat down, he wrapped his arms around me, and I immediately buried my face in his chest. Before I knew it, I was sobbing.

"First Bella and now you. I don't want to lose you." I managed to choke out through sobs.

"I know, honey. I promise you won't ever lose me. I'll always be with you. No one could ever make me leave you." He said. He reached down and pulled my chin up, so I was looking him in the eye. "Do you understand?"

"Yes." I answered and as the word came out of my mouth, he leaned over and kissed me.

"I love you." He said.

"I love you too." I said.

I snapped back into reality just as Kingsley was announcing the verdict. " I find, Lucius Malfoy, guilty, and therefore he will spend life in Azkaban." He said.

"No!" I heard myself shout. "Lucius." I called. "You promised."

"I'm sorry, Narcissa. I love you" He said, while the dementors led him out of the courtroom. As he was leaving, I saw that he was crying. Right then and there, I knew I would never see him again, and I began to cry. That moment was the moment that I died inside, and I knew it was the end.
