Lancelot's Love

This is a double drabble poem on the ship of Lanjo. This was inspired by PPitP's Caught in a Slash and I hope everyone enjoys it!

There one was a sad man,

Filled with emotion and angst,

Whose love life never went according to plan,

He feared his affections were going to waste.

The name of this sorrow was Lancelot,

Who, occasionally, lived in Camelot.

Lancey's first love was a girl named Gwen,

A servant girl to the royalty,

However, she was destined to be Queen,

In addition, Lance lacked nobility,

So he banished himself without a fight,

Leaving his dream of becoming a knight.

Time past like seasons,

Into a fic leaving everyone confused,

Lancelot had made his returns,

And his ego may have been bruised,

Punctuation ran wild while plotbunnies flocked,

Pregnant pauses and plotholes made everyone shocked.

Then ol' Lancelot saw the most perfect thing!

The love of his life! Beauty of ages!

He would love it even when it needed tuning,

Adorations and admirations could fill pages,

His love was a banjo, yes that's true.

The banjo was awesome, just like his shoe.

Banjo couldn't stay with him,

Banjo just went with whoever took her,

Standard procedure for those without motion,

Sometimes she strayed very far,

Lancelot couldn't understand her wooden heart,

Even if he's loved her from the start;

Lancelot's love.
