This was a poetry project for my English class, which just so happened to involve PotO, and so I decided to type and post it! We were told to write a found poem. For those of you who don't know, a found poem is basically any kind of poem where you take bits and pieces from some sort of text (part of a book, text messages between friends, excerpts of a math textbook, anything) and form it into poetry. They don't always make sense, but somehow, this one did.

What I did (and why this relates to PotO) was take every single one of the song titles from Phantom of the Opera (including some of the only music tracks, but not using Prologue) and turn it into a story in stanzas. I'm not going to italicize the song titles in the poem or anything, because that ruins the flow of the poem, and in any case, you all should be able to figure out what the songs are. Okay, enough of my chatter, here goes!

My Week (a PotO Found Poem)

"Think of Me, Little Lotte,"
My Angel of Music said to me,
And I Remember
How that Poor Fool, He Makes Me Laugh.

"Why So Silent?"
Is All I Ask of You
But all through my Journey to the Cemetery
I was a Wandering Child
Who was Wishing You Were Somehow Here Again.

The Swordfight was epic,
Though We Have All Been Blind.
The Music of the Night
Was singing out loud
As my Don Juan told me
Madame Giry's Tale.

All of our Notes
Were Stranger Than You Dreamt It,
And The Phantom of the Opera struck again.
The Masquerade created a Prima Donna.
"Why Have You Brought Me Here
To The Point of No Return?"

"Well, Raoul, I've Been There,
And Il Muto had to Learn to Be Lonely."
Hannibal used his Magical Lasso
And we all went Down Once More.

End

Well, what did you think? Good? Bad? Somewhere in the middle? Lol. Please review and let me know!
