A throb of pain shook Dan's body to it's core. In shock, he moved his hand to his nose and felt the stream of leaking blood. He watched in disbelief as Phil turned and left the room, small traces of Dan's blood speckling his knuckles. It had been so peaceful a minute ago, the two of them sitting in their usual spots in the living room. They were both on their respective computers when Phil had absentmindedly asked a question.
"Hey," he said, face turning to Dan but keeping his eyes glued to his laptop's screen. "Do you remember the Teletubbies?"
"The show with the baby sun?" Dan didn't look up from his device as he answered.
"Yeah, that one." Phil was still clicking away, but most of his attention was on Dan.
"What about it?"
"I just saw a picture where someone drew the characters as adults. Poe is thicc."
"Sick." Dan said. They went back to browsing for about a minute before Phil spoke again.
"Wait, do you mean sick like cool, or sick like nasty?"
"How the hell should I know?" Dan sounded exasperated. "You just told me you though a morphsuit lookin demon baby was thicc. What emotion am I supposed to feel exactly?"
"The emotion of thicc." Phil stated. He was getting angry and his full attention was on Dan.
"What in the fresh tiddy is the emotion of thicc?" Dan was nearing whits end. They were both looking at eachother now. Phil closed his laptop and stood, keeping his eyes on Dan.
"Ya feel thicc." Phil said.
"How did you do that?"
"Do what?"
"You were speaking but you made the word bold."
"I don't know what you mean Daniel."
"I'm so confused."
"Do you feel thicc yet?"
"WHAT THE HELL," Dan jumped to his feet and flipped a table "DOES THICC FEEL LIKE?"
A gleam suddenly appeared in Phil's eyes. The rage he was feeling was more intense than any other emotion he's felt before. That is, aside from the emotion of thicc. How dare Dan ask him to explain thicc? Thicc is a state of being, a feeling that can't be articulated. Quickly, he stomped over to his ex-friend.
"It feels like this." That's when Phil punched Dan. After the older boy left the room, Dan was alone, bleeding onto their floor. What was that? Why was Phil so upset? Slowly, Dan's eyes traveled to Phil's laptop. What had he seen? Apprehensively, Dan inched closer to the computer, his hand resting gently on the closed lid. With a shaking hand, he opened the device. As soon as the computer screen loaded, Dan's eyes went wide. He saw it. Thicc Poe. He finally understood why Phil was so angry it his ignorance. One cannot describe thicc. Suddenly, two beams of light shot from Dan's eyes. His feet left the ground as he rose into the air, arms spread wide. This was it. He had reached the ultimate stage of thicc. He was no longer confined to this mortal realm. He was finally free.
