'There is this thing called a rut, Emily, and you're stuck in one. What can we do to get you out of it? Do I have to remind you that your mother is still out there somewhere, probably thinking you're dead?' Nolan shouted. Today had been the worst and Emily had become unbearable. 'What happened to taking down the Graysons? Victoria is dead and Charlotte is in rehab, they are at their weakest point right now. In fact, you're lucky somebody else didn't take them down. Emily! Listen to me!' Nolan threw his hands up and turned to storm out.
'Wait! I have a plan.' Emily said urgently. A smile panned across Nolan's face. 'That's my girl.'

'Deck, do you think you could take over the bar?' Jack asked 'Amanda's getting a scan and I wanna be there for it.'
'Okay but Jack, I know I've said this before but you've really got to listen to me, Amanda is not who she says she is, I don't think she is that little girl that you knew and I really don't think that's your baby.' The minute Declan said it, he knew he shouldn't have. But he had seen Amanda react to things in strange ways. The running away was the biggest problem. He couldn't let her put Jack throught that again.
'No offence, Declan, but I'm not really sure I should take relationship advice from you.' He stormed out of the bar. Exhasperated, Declan went back to tending the bar. His phone buzzed in his pocket. Charlotte.
'Hello?'
'Declan, do you want to come over here?'
'Now? I can't. I've got a bar to run, Charlotte.'
'Anytime. I miss you and I'm sorry. We need to talk.'
'Fine. I'll be over later, goodbye.'

The car pulled up outside a tall,, modern building. It was at least six storeys high. Emily stepped out and smoothed down her tan trench coat. A wave of anxiety washed over her. Today, she would not be Emily Thorne. She would be Amanda Clarke. She would be visiting her own mother. The woman known as Kara Wilkins in the past was now named Kara Stewart. It had taken Nolan three days to track her down, which, Emily admitted, was quite slow for Nolan. Emily pressed the buzzer of apartment 19 hesitantly. Surprisingly, she was buzzed in without question. Her mother was waiting, seconds away.

'Okay, everything is fine with your baby, hon. Would you like to know the sex?' The nurse smiled, directing the last question at both Jack and Amanda.
'I'd prefer to get a surprise, but I;ll leave the room if you want.' Jack grinned. He had always considered himself the fatherly type, but he'd never thought it would come as such a shock.
'I think we'll keep it a surprise for now, then.' Amanda decided.
'Well, we're expecting your baby within the next three months, but if anything goes funny just give us a call and we'll help you out.' What the nurse said didn't seem to cross Amanda as odd, but Jack was confused. 'Three months? So she has been pregnant for six, then?'
'Yep, that's about right.'
Amanda's face remained neutral. As they walked out of the hospital Jack was silent.
'Is everything alright?' Amanda asked, genuine concern on her face.
'Amanda, six months ago I thought you were gone forever. We didn't know eachother. Either that was a miscalculation, or that's not my baby.'
