Hey! Green the Cat here. Now, I know that this story was incomplete and I was supposed to be editing it, but shit happens. Instead of editing, I reread the whole fucking thing and, to put it nicely, my story sucked ass. So, last night I rewrote my story... to a certain extent. I'm going to give you the first three chapters and pop back in next week for the next. Now, this ramble has lasted too long, so I'll repeat everything at the bottom... because who really reads this thing anyway.
WARNING: THIS FIC CONTAINS STEVEN X KOTONE CONTENT! DO NOT READ IF THIS DISTURBS YOU! YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!
Disclaimer: I'm writing fanfiction, I think that says enough.
Kotone picked at her dress. No, she wasn't wearing it now, but she would be wearing it tomorrow. Kotone was becoming increasingly nervous. Tomorrow she would marry Steven. She fiddled with the ring on her left finger. She took a deep breath.
Kotone wasn't particularly worried about the wedding itself, but she was worried. She guessed she had pre-wedding jitters. Kotone nibbled on her bottom lip as she pet her dress. Tomorrow would be worth all the panicking she was doing now. At least that's what she hoped.
The phone rang and Kotone answered it.
"Hello?," she said.
"Kotone, we only have to deal with your sister tomorrow, right?," the voice on the other end said.
Kotone laughed and nodded even though the voice couldn't see her.
"Yes, tomorrow is the only time we have to put up with Kyrstal and Silver.," she answered, "You are behaving for your father, aren't you, Steven?"
"Yes, all of my stones are put away and I am in the house, not a cave.," Steven answered.
Kotone smiled and laughed at Steven's response. She really did love Steven and his rocks.
"I love you.," she said.
"Love you too.," Steven replied before he hung up.
Kotone fiddled with the strap of her PokeGear. Something felt off and she was determined to find out what it was. Kotone decided to go to sleep and hope that the feeling went away. Kotone touched her ring again before she turned the light off.
She awoke to an alarm blaring in her ear. Why was it ringing? She rubbed her eyes and looked in the mirror. For some reason, she seemed younger than she thought she was, but she couldn't remember who she was. The only thing she could remember was a shock of silver hair. Who was she?
"Avery!"
She tried to call back, but it appeared she was mute. Avery twirled her brown hair around her finger and went downstairs. She bowed, but her mother seemed confused as to why she was bowing. Her mother spoke quickly and Avery struggled to understand the rapid words that poured out.
"Professor Elm wants to see you. I think it involved a Pokemon. Check in with me when you're done."
Avery managed to nod and she walked out the door. So far she could tell that her name wasn't Avery and she was too young, but she didn't know anything else so she went with it.
The trip to Elm's lab was rather uneventful to Avery's mind, she couldn't understand why she thought getting a Pokemon was boring. All through the day's events, Avery daydreamed of a man with silver hair.
When Steven woke up, he cursed. He was in Hoenn, not Johto. What in the hell had happened? Why was he ten years younger? Another curse slipped past his lips and he ran a hand through his hair. He needed to get to Johto… or Kanto and fast.
Steven grabbed his PokeNav and started checking on ships going to Kanto. Vermillion City would be a nice place to go to. He needed to find Kotone and Kanto was close enough to Johto to start looking for her.
With a few calls, Steven had cleared his schedule and booked a trip to Vermillion City, Kanto.
Okay, now that the story is started, we can get on to the important bits. This story has been completely reworked. I'm deleting chapters and changing shit. I finish what I start. First change to be aware of, the chapters are going to be shorter for the sake of simplicity. Two, all updates will occur on Thursdays... at least for this story. If I do not update, due to weather or something because my internet is not at my house, expect an update on the next Thursday. Three, there will be one challenge at the end of this story for someone to have a chance at winning a prize. Four, prize details, and winners, will be on profile page. Do not hesitate to get a hold me if you still have questions. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
Adieu - Green the Cat
