Angelus Morningstar presents.
THE LEGACY OF KAIN SERIES
AZREAL
To the people of the village I currently reside in, I am an angel. A guardian who keeps them safe from the occasional threats posed by the damned inhabitants from the bleeding, hollowed land of Nosgoth. I am He who would rain merciless justice upon those who opposed my people and my people's children. I have sworn by my blood that the destruction the over- father Kain and brought to his land does not see it's way into mine. And for my determination in keeping them safe I have earned something else that has sustained me even more than the essence of life itself; their appreciative love. The men call out my name to scare the wild beasts away as if I was a God who would wrap them in my cloak and keep them save amidst the danger. The women keep my name close to their hearts and as they lull their offsprings to sleep, it is my name that they use to vanquish the fears of the little ones. To the villagers, I am a gift from the heavens. Fallen from grace yet repentant and seeking redemption. Oh, if only they knew what had transpired in the lands of Nosgoth. If only they knew what I was. The melancholy I endure each day strains me even more as I move along the years. I am constantly reminded of who I am each passing day, never for once allowing myself to forget lest I lose all that remains of my shattered past. And the danger lies within that. You see, being what I am is already a crime is only punishable by being banished to the Lake of the Dead. Like my Father and kin, it is a fate Kain had given us, through his jealous pride. And you would think that due to this harsh mindless act that I would cloak myself in lies to remain hidden, away from the prying eyes of the vile rulers of Nosgoth. But I say this to you, to give up what remains of myself is similar to accepting death's embrace. It is all that I have left, the memory of what and who I am. And it is with this memory, that I, Azrael, last surviving son of the betrayed Raziel, founder of the now decimated Razielim clan, will exact bloody revenge upon those who have damned my Sire and clan to the black hole of Final Death. What I am is a vampire who will not rest until every last enemy of my Maker has been scrubbed from the face of this blasted world. Azrael, the last of the Razielim
