Hi I'm not sure about this story so could you please review if you would like me to carry on? Thanks
Chapter 1
Whoever said I was normal was wrong. Not that I ever let anyone know what stops me from being normal. No, that would be suicide. So to everyone else in this army I'm just the quiet girl at the back of the squad who does as she's told. Mind you if I was anything else I would never have got this job.
I am a private in the royal army. My secretary Roy (yes, I'm one of the lowest ranking people and I have a secretary) is a little over the top. OCD in cleanliness, that sort of thing. I'm only stuck with him because the men gave us trouble with 'better paid jobs' last year. Isn't it enough we let them go to school now? In case you're wondering we hate men because they're far to mortal. Who wants a boyfriend who dies 10 years into a relationship? They die far to easily. We hate them so much now that it brings shame on your family to give birth to a male. Us women on the other hand, we're immortal. We're born immortal.
A crash interrupted a young woman's pacing as a door flew open releasing another woman, looking slightly older who pushed herself upon the girl.
"You must leave, now."
"Grandma what's going on?"
The older woman reluctantly pulled herself away. "Pack a bag. You'll need food, clothes and remember to take your sword."
"Grandma?"
"It's the army Jasmine, they've found out your secret."
A while later both women could be seen hurtling down a mountain not long followed by a group of armed soldiers. Jasmine had pelted her grandma with questions. The only answers she had gotten from her grandmother was that they were going south. As far south as you can go. Aside from knowing she would have to leave Jasmine had never prepared for this moment. She alone among the other women of this country was not entirely immortal. The punishment for just being who she was would mean death for her.
And that's when it happened. Jasmine found herself on a terrain completely different from before. There was green grass under her feet instead of stones and bright sunlight.
"I have to go back Jasmine. I'm sorry I can't stay with you but it's for the best."
Jasmine turned and no one was beside her. She was alone in a place she didn't know. It wouldn't be to long until she found out how little she really knew about this place.
