hoho, I tried my hand at a bit of poetry. Rubbish really, but I did try.
If it tickles your fancy, do remember to review. How else will I know?
-----
The forest watches with half-lidded eyes,
the scene unfolds without a hitch,
actors, friends, lovers, enemies
stand before the trees
-
no judgement is passed when their bodies meet
to fall to the floor in a tangled frenzy of blue and green,
a haze seems to befall the two
as the purest of white meets the darkest of black
-
the trees avert their gaze,
ashamed for their curious stares,
their lips curl into laughter
melodic, angelic, notes are risen
-
suddenly the steps are heard,
hands are protectively placed over lips,
eyes are shut in trepidation,
the haziest of blue and the richest of green
-
a whisper is shared,
a gentle promise of the love to come,
hands are found and fingers entwined
-
the footsteps grow nearer,
breaths are hitching in rhythm
to the blood that races
up and down their sky-like veins
-
the one with the ebony curls places a protective charm,
challenging those who so calmly skulk,
for that is what she is
the protector
-
the hazy eyed blonde looks out between the trees,
the sun dulling the withering leaves,
a soft tongue peeks out to wet chapped lips as
a hope-filled fantasy of future life is professed,
her counterpart reiterates a dull chuckle til
they suddenly grow still.
-
the crunching of fallen leaves is heart-wrenching,
the girls' bodies shift to hold and be held,
hearts meeting in a contest of quickening thuds,
-
the moon rises from the hill
as the noise dissipates,
they bathe in it's ethereal glow,
exchanging whispers of thanks
and kisses of hope.
-
hands once more begin to roam,
hair splays out in fans of night and day,
they break apart once more
for the desperate soul searching moment
-
a nod is given and a final kiss placed
upon the gentle slope of a pale forehead,
it matters not which wand was raised,
or the hand that held it and
whether it was the dreamer or the protector,
for as the moon finished its glowing circuit
the final words were whispered.
'Avada Kedavra'
and the girls fell,
together.
