Betrayal, Pride, and Power.
A/N: Alright. This is for the Hardest challenge ever mwhahahahahah! From marrissa gnokawitz. The point is to figure out who it is. I tried to make this really hard and realized most people could narrow it down to two, so it might be that hard. Please review with your guess, your thoughts on how it went, or anything else really. If you guess right I'll tell you, and if you guess the other two characters right... I'll review your stories or something.
D: I don't own the characters. Or the idea really. Or those awesome rainboots I saw at the store.
I couldn't wait until I graduated. Everything would be better then. I'd have everything I ever wanted. Everything and so much more.
I didn't want to face her anymore. I didn't want to look at her and feel betrayed, not because I loved her, but because that feeling of betrayal showed weakness. I was not weak. She fell for the wrong person. She gained one man and lost so much more. But I would not fall to the same fate.
I remembered when she told me. She stared pleadingly at me. She tried to explain the unthinkable. The impossible.
"Please! You have to understand! I love him. He's special. He's brilliant, and kind, and-" I cut her off.
"And not good enough for you. You're better than this! You deserve more. You deserve to join us." I said with coldness and a straight face. Tears started flowing from her eyes.
"You don't understand. I. Can't. Leave. Him. I'm physically capable of living without him!" she screamed with a strange ferocity. I still didn't understand. Still don't.
"Maybe I was wrong then. Maybe you do deserve him. Maybe you shouldn't be here right now." I sneered, hoping somewhere deep inside she'd realize her mistake. She didn't.
"Fine then. Goodbye." she said curtly, tears still streaming. She walked out the door for the last time.
Nothing except her has changed since then. Nothing except her and the mark on my arm. I'd heard she had a brat with him. That didn't surprise me. Nothing had changed. But everything would once I was free.
I
Would
Rule
The
World.
I knew that this was it. What I was destined to do. I was going into the world with more than anyone, besides the Dark Lord himself. This was it. I was going to make my family proud. I would make up for the betrayal. I would finally have power over my life.
