A/N: one year after the tragedy. Tori (Petrie's mom) is Topsy's only friend in this story. This is a one-shot. Topsy still grieves for his dead brother.
Topsy has been bullied ever since his brother has died. A lot of kids his age have been excluding him from games; they believed the lie that Pterano has told them. However, Topsy was too kind to kill anybody no matter how mad he may get at them. His best friend Tori had to sneak away just to see him. The blue flyer felt bad for the young threehorn and did whatever she could to cheer him up. She flew around and saw him looking into the watering hole; a tear slid down his face and into the water.
"Topsy? Do you want to talk?" Tori wondered.
The threehorn turned to look at his best friend; more tears slid down his face and he wiped them away with his paw. He nodded towards the blue flyer. She walked over and sat near Topsy.
"It's only been a year; you'd think the others would be over the tragedy by now," Topsy said.
Tori sighed. She hated seeing her best friend so sad. He was one of the best friends she ever met. Her expression went from sad to concern when she saw Topsy lay a paw on his stomach and groaned.
"You okay?" Tori asked.
"I'll be fine; just grieving and had a flashback of the tragedy," Topsy claimed.
Tori was told that feelings of guilt and sadness can cause stomach pain and loss of appetite. Topsy assured her that he'll be fine.
"Maybe some water might settle your stomach," Tori suggested.
Topsy nodded and drank some water.
Moments later, his mom came by to see how he was doing.
"How are you two doing?" Theresa asked.
Topsy shrugged.
"Meh; this whole year has been bad; Tori is the only one who would play with me," Topsy claimed.
Theresa nodded. She hated seeing her remaining son so upset.
"He's also been experiencing some stomach pain; I learned that it is linked to sadness and guilt," Tori explained.
Theresa nodded.
"The pain isn't that bad, Mom; but, it's more of a discomfort," Topsy stated.
Theresa had noticed that Topsy hasn't had much to eat all day.
"Don't worry; stomach pain usually goes away after a while; it's probably just nerves," Theresa said.
Topsy nodded.
"Well, it killed my appetite; I can't eat when I'm upset," Topsy replied.
"I understand," Theresa claimed.
Tori nodded in agreement.
Topsy is glad that he can count on his close friends and his mom.
