Jeff/Chip: Learning to Read.

Another Jeff and Chip one-shot done after being challenged to write about them on a tour bus. Hope you guys like it.

Not a sound could be heard on the tour bus except for Jeff's faint snores and the rustling pages of Chip's book. The Whose Live crew was doing their tour around Canada and the United States, partying all the way of course. Besides improv comedy, it was what they did best.

A loud thud comes from the back room, followed by a moan. "Ouuuch…" Jeff Davis stumbles out into the main area, naked and still reeking of alcohol. "Oh dude," Chip laughs, setting down his book. "Not a word. Not a single word," Jeff mumbles, putting all his weight on the pantry for support.

"Do you want your boxers?" Chip asks, still stifling laughter. Jeff looked up at him, managing a playful wink. "Why do you have them? What happened last night?" Chip tossed them over and explained. "Somehow you made it back in one piece, puked on the steps, puked in Greg's bed, which was hilarious, poured mouthwash down your throat, took off your suit and promptly passed out."

Jeff glanced around the messy bus. "Where is everyone?"

"Gone. Ryan and Greg went out somewhere, leaving me with babysitting duty." Jeff slipped on his boxers and sat next to him on the couch. "Ha. You said duty." Chip can't help but to chuckle at the dumb joke. "How old are you? Go… shower or something, Jesus."

"No! Hey, what are you reading?" Jeff reaches for the novel, but Chip slams it shut. "Nothing! I'm not sure you even know how to read." Jeff makes a sudden lunge over him and grabs the book, lying on top of it to keep Chip from taking it back. "I'll just have to see for myself!" He flips the pages until he gets to the dog-eared one. "'The two men kiss for the first time, and—' Man what is this?"

Chip's face is buried deep in his hands. "It's a book. With one scene like that that you just so happened to find..." His face turned a deep shade of crimson as he throws it across the room. Jeff lays his head in Chip's lap, looking up at his still embarrassed friend. "First, you start reading. Now… I worry."

Chip rolls his eyes. "C'mon, two guys kissing isn't really a big deal. I mean, Ryan and Colin did it all the time on Whose Line!"

"I'm sorry; I just didn't know you'd be reading gay porn."

"It's not gay porn!" Chip exclaims.

"What is it then?" Jeff replies skeptically.

"It's a book. Not porn, and it's not even mine! I found it here."

"Sure you did."

"Geez, when did you become such a homophobe anyway?" Chip asks in frustration.

Jeff shot up and climbed onto his lap. Before Chip could protest, he kissed him firmly on the lips. Jeff rested his hands on Chip's ribs, pulling back from him. The friends stared at the straddled position they were now in.

"Have I proved you wrong now?" Jeff says steadily under his breath. Chip gulps and finds his voice. "Um, yeah. I think you did." Jeff places his forehead to Chip's. "But totally not a big deal, right?" Chip sneaks a glance out the window and turns back to him. "Ryan and Greg are about to walk in. Not a big deal, right?"

Jeff nips at the air in front of him, shooting Chip a final flirtatious grin. He smirks in response. "Here they come…" Jeff takes the spot next to him as the bus door slides open.

"You two look incredibly guilty," Greg says with raised eyebrows. "What have you been up to?" Jeff smiled coyly back. "Just… learning how to read." Ryan laughed at got a drink from the fridge. "How's that going?" He looked at a reddening Chip and responded, "I might need another lesson."
