The crush and the one she loves

Summary: NinaxYakumo oneshot! One day Yakumo finds Nina alone crying. What happen? Well you have to read to find out. Story is better than summary hopefully.

(Nina is 15 in this and Yakumo is 17)

It was a fall evening when this happened. Yakumo was walking around Tokyo while Nanase was having other guys do stuff for him. He had decided to go walking so he didn't ruin his friend's fun. As he walked by a park he heard crying.

'Who is that?' He looked around to see Nina, sitting on a park bench, crying.

"Nina!" He ran over to the girl he loved. Yes he really did love her. Nina looked up at him, red face.

"Oh hi Yakumo-kun. What are you doing here?" She wiped her face off and looked at him. Trying not to seem pitiful.

"I was walking and I heard you crying. Did does two idiots that always hang around hurt you?!" She shook her head.

"No, I had a crush a school and he turned me down. Ichî and Zero don't know since I didn't even tell them." Yakumo was shocked at this. He knew something his rivals didn't about his beloved Nina? He sat down beside her and pulled her close.

"It's ok Nina. I know it hurts when someone you love doesn't love you back. Just let it out. I'll be here." She just sobbed into his chest. They stayed like that for a few minutes before Nina stopped crying. She looked up at Yakumo.

"Why are you helping me and comforting me? I thought I was your enemy?" He shook his head.

"I mean it when I say I love you. Your always full of energy and always so happy. You have the spunk most girls don't and aren't afraid to fight. Those are just some of the things I love about you other than the fact your beautiful." Saying Nina was shocked was an understatement. Secretly Nina had liked him but always thought that he said he liked her so he could lure her in. So she does something unexpected. Nina kisses Yakumo on the lips. Yakumo, while shocked, kissed back. There was a spark in the kiss like neither one of them had ever felt before. Once they parted Nina smiled at him.

"Luckily your were actually my first choice before that other dude." Yakumo grinned before leaning for another kiss.

_10 years later_

"Mommy!" Two small 3 year olds, one boy and one girl, ran up to a woman with long brownish hair. She smiled at her children and pick them up.

"You two ready for daddy to come home from the dojo?" The twins nod. The front door open and a man with short brown hair appears.

"Daddy!" The twins jumped out of Nina's arms and over to their dad.

"Yeah kids. Were you two good for your mother?" They nod.

"Hello Yak-kun." He groaned playfully and kissed Nina's cheek.

"Why do you have to call me that? I thought after Nanase that was over." Nina laughed and kissed him.

"It's cute. Also speaking of Nanase, he and his girlfriend are coming over for dinner. So is Zero and Ichî. I need you to watch Aki and Suki while I cook." He groaned but nodded.

"Don't worry. You'll get rewarded tonight if you be good." Yakumo grinned and the children away. Pearl sat in the corner laughing at this. Nina smiled at the dragon before taking out a pot. She started cooking dinner, remembering when she and Yakumo first got together.
